FIFA 17 Squads show off
« on: November 09, 2016, 06:14:41 am »
With the kid 'needing' a really good team, we have focused on beefing up the main one. But, given the (great!) legend links, decided to simply use a single fitness card and swap between the 2 whilst I'm playing. Currently these are the teams

Ronaldo was bought on Monday morning so the kid has not used him in the Weekend League as yet.

Bergkamp though ... once again proves that he's simply the best in that CAM/CF position. in 196 games, he's stored 128 and assisted 109 times. Takes FK's and PK's too, so he's all round the best in that position.

For the 2nd team, moved Firmino back into the ST position and he proves he's more than comfortable playing there. Eder has been solid - when he's in position, it's a goal every time ... but he just doesn't get into that 'right position' often enough. Will be changing that up & if that happens, we'd be in a position to actually swap teams during the Weekend League.

I am running these two team at the moment, changed from 4321 to 4312 and now back to old fashioned 433, may be I will go for another 433 version. Not sure yet

Straight forward Serie A, half of the players I pulled from packs. IF Florenzi is godly. No real weak spots yet. Although I want to try out Pjanic too.

BPL, yes....Gladi goes BPL  ;D . Still trying this formation/players. Obvious improvements will be made to LW and RW. Back four are solid. IF Stekelenburg may be not the best goalie but I like him in RL

I've yet to use Lukaku, and haven't liked him since Fifa 12, when he was a crazily good non rare. However, this year, I'd say he is easily the striker that has given me most problems when facing him and he always seems to score. Musa I can keep out quite easily but Lukaku is my nightmare!

Thought I'd post my current squads...

Newest XI.. BPL / Serie A / Ligue 1 Hybrid
Chiellini + Smalling.  Wow.
Been impressed with Cavani too.

My favourite team... Ghana.. Just pace, basically... with average pace of 86.3  ;D
Fwds: 92, 93, 95
CMs: 82, 80, 82
FBs: 86, 89
but best of all...
CBS: 85 and 79  ;D

And then my other two are run of the mill league sides...

Good one Eric - that strike force looks deadly.

Onto A/c #2. Sold off a few players (TOTY Pique, Griez, etc) and built these 2:

Am enjoying the quick passing / triangles that F9 offers.

I'll leave this here, just to remember it before weekend league makes me rage sell it. Will add a sprinkling of bronze to the bench to bring it down to 85

What's your thoughts on Torres?

When he's on, he is great. Does miss some easier chances though which is frustrating

It sure is Kiwi, well its predecessor was (perisic, icardi, Muriel) and I expect this to be more so, signs were promising but need better servers to be sure lol.

I see you've still got verratti, he's actually been a revelation for me.  He's everywhere, scoring, interception making great passes.  Are you going to get the 91 Cavani, his price is way too low.   Lastly is florenzi one of these OP guys, seen lots of chat about him being a great RB.

Verratti - yeah mate, think he's great. Started with him on the other club with 89 Thiago and thought they were both quality.
Florenzi - do prefer him over Peres and any other RB in Serie A. He was actually one of our first red cards, but have pretty much always been on the bench for the WL (for the kid), as a sub. With his stats & height he can easily play as a CDM, or even CM.

Cavani ... unfortunately not too many funds available on that 2nd acc. However, Salah is a hefty price tag and not done too much for it. May be some changes still on that side. But, must say that Nainggolan is simply ridiculous, so will need to factor that in.
