True - makes sense.

Possibly numbers down (# of people played, # of games finished) ... so, make it easier to get more people in.

Might be 16 attempts but there is only one tourney, so in effect its the same. Might actually mean that less people qualify if they rattle through their attempts quickly.

That tournament will be as bad as the weekend league as literally everyone will go for the TOTS player. Even if it's a bad player, remember the hell going for even Huth last year?

Agreed TWS.

Went through the Voting for Bundes TOTY ... I haven't a clue who should be there, so voted for some of the players I've used in FUT. All I can think whilst doing this is that the majority of FUT-ers will simply be checking against pace and going 'him'.

Interesting to note that for the 2 CM slots, they had 2 sets of 3. Second set is Vidal vs Thiago vs 'someone who's never getting in' (can't remember).

After I did that, I thought to myself that's the 11 sorted, but realistically of the 33 players they presented, pretty much 22 of those should be in the TOTY ANY way. Can't think that if Thiago & Vidal are close in votes, EA will ignore the data and select someone else.

... on a better note, decided to open packs - with points.

Firstly, we've saved up like 20 packs - over 550k worth (kid with his jumbo rare players x2 helps that value, but there are other decent ones). But, me being me saw that there were some 50k packs (global limit) as well as 30k ones (rare electrum players) ... FP time ;D.

Well, well ... for the 10 packs I bought (8 x 50k and 2 x 30k) ... went like this:
• TOTS Glushakov ... ok
• No great flares - but Martial and Kante ... another 15k
• MOTM Isco ... noice! 230k-ish
• Struck out
• (Electrum) IF Bittencourt and Javi Martinez (he's 8.5k now ::)).

Thought that went well so got another 4.6k ...
• 2 x 83-rated ... meh
• TOTS Bruma (and an 84-rated card) - 56k
• SIF Lemar - obviously shmattered by TOTS so he's only 30k now
• TOTS Sanson - 100k
• Nothing

All-in-all ... 500k+ before even checking for some others in there. Kinda surprised given the pack luck has been bad.

After months of opening bronze packs, although hardly any the past couple of months, I decided it was time to go for some silver blues! Now that the season is almost over in the big leagues, there'll be not much need for them in Marquee Matchups, so spent a couple of hours chucking them all through the bronze upgrade.
Ended up with 198 silver two player packs to open! Wasn't too hopeful of getting any blue cards but alternated opening a pack each with my little girl.
We managed to pack two silver TOTS cards, Angel and Vasin and also the Swedish IF twice in a row at one point! I opened the two TOTS packs and one of the IF's. She wasn't happy at not getting a blue!

Yeah, she's started playing Fifa. She's ok at the skill games but is not good at actual games yet. She was playing an 8 year old boy from down the road on Thursday. He was 4-0 up and sweating and dabbing. I played the second half and scored seven! That'll teach him  😆

She mainly plays Minecraft, Rocket League and Lego Star Wars though.

Planned a team for the DKO ... with the max 1 special card. Meant I needed NIF Griezmann.

40k ... WTF! He was 46k for others so was chuffed with the snipe and a fresh one too (think the guy got the wrong price for FUTBIN). But 46k is ludicrously low! He was >100k 5/6 weeks ago.

And just thinking about this ... we know that every year prices take a plummet - losing 60% of an 88-rated card is nothing new I guess.

I just wondered though ... did his card weight change? Did EA purposely do this in prep for TOTS and thereby ignite the GP purchases?

Would love to see the $$$ they pulled in this past week!

At least you don't need a lot of coins to make a decent team. Been aiming to get Dybala. Also down a lot
