I've played very little in the past few months. Played a couple of games the other day which is more than I've played in a long time but don't really have any urge to play it.
Did splash out on the day of the huge crash when the WC mode came out, bought two ridiculous teams but still didn't help. Literally nobody off the forums that I know play it anymore. Everyone has stopped!
I have been doing SBC's for all the special players they did.

Been playing a lot of Fortnite and Football Manager 2018, but FIFA is getting dusty! I guess I'll pick up 19 when it comes out, but not got any high hopes of it being any good.

Well I would actually go as far as to say I am enjoying it at the moment.

Currently have assembled a 'better' team than I can normally even get close to, thanks to the WC crash.. so it's been interesting.

I got a crazily stacked club, especially considering I haven't played Weekend League apart from one week since October, and at my highest amount, only had half of what I had gathered coin wise by TOTS last year. I have a very high number of the League and Nation SBC players but I don't know. I just don't want to play the game. When I do, I still want to mix in rarely used and/or lower rated players. Last week in one of the three games I played, Max Kruse completely destroyed a full La Liga 90 rated squad. In the other two I used full French teams to complete the six assists with French players weekly objective. In both games with that I won 5-0 both times. The team played like an absolute dream. But still I just don't really care anymore.
This morning I did this weeks Marquee Matchups from the players already in my club and duplicates on my trade pile. Packed one of the special World Cup boosted players, the Saudi guy from La Liga. In the past I would have been using him in some sort of team ASAP. This year I simply switched off and played Fortnite instead. Got two solo second places and then a squad win with two ex Fifa friends. Was intense with two crazy battles with people attacking from all sides and us somehow surviving. Fortnite and EA have killed Fifa 18 stone dead.

After EA deleted my club I haven't played anymore. Started with the WC mode but left that quickly for some oldskool FUT stuff. Bought the scream.card from perisic and moved from there. Got a serie a team now and play now and then

It is kind of enjoyable and that scares me....

Most of my gaming team goes into Dark Souls. Finished DS3 and I am now playing DS remastered....

Hi lads,

FIFA sucks.... its official.  Rarely stick it on.  WC mode sparked a week or so's interest, then tried the odd weekend league game and it almost made me vomit.

19 will, as per usual be purchased (base game only), but FUT needs to go some to make me spend a penny from now on.  Would love to try a RTG thing but I just don't have the patience, time or will to do it, so early pack luck will have to be astounding for me to hold a long term interest.  They have royally F**ked up with 18 and the user base, whilst still strong, has made it clear it has to be better.  If the pro's cant stomach it, they have to listen... right???

All these promos at the death of the game are stupid and I pity those that spend anything on them.  I mean what is the purpose?? What can you use them for??? Nothing.  No argument on the amount of content this year but seriously question the timing.  They should have a final FUT champs qualifying event late on to keep interest.  Also the game modes are really stale.  How buddha could stomach squad battles for as long as he did deserves an award.  No idea what they can do with this to liven it up in 19.  Champs was.... shocking.  The inconsistencies in the gameplay are enough to make you quit gaming, nevermind just FIFA.  Seasons.... needs a serious revamp.

For me Fortnite, as a free game, has in a short time eclipsed any enjoyment ever that ive had with FUT (including packing Pele in 17).  So much fun and great communication and freshness on a week to week basis.

Hope you are all well

Simmo

I am afraid that 19 will not be better, why should they? Now PES has lost the CL, it is hardly any competition anymore so no need to improve for EA. They will get all the $$ anyway

My FIFA gaming time will solely go into clubs. FUT is dead. Luckily BF5 and RDR2 are just around the corner.

It is ludicrous, the amount of 90+ rated players flooding the game now.. the prices are rock bottom and makes having TOTS players an irrelevance.

It's sad really, what they have done to the game.

Still playing it, as I actually enjoy the gameplay for the mostpart.. but the market is a farce.

I'm 50/50 if I even get Fifa 19. The game is just a farce now. From what I've seen, they are taking out the dkt altogether and it's another league setup to qualify. I've not played an online match for absolutely ages and have no wish to do so.

Playing Fortnite and Football Manager 18 mostly now.

Ok lads....

I've had the pleasure (hahaha) of getting an invite for the fut 19 beta which I have been playing since Friday.  Much like last year they are giving free coins and FIFA points on a day to day basis, which is so very kind of them

First impressions... new lick of paint and relatively the same game engine and gameplay.  The gameplay is all likely to change in the full release like last year as they did last year with the revert back to fut 17 patch 1.

Likes
It's football  ;D

New formations - 424, 4132, 441(2) plus a couple others I can't remember

Time - it's shows past 90 mins  :o

Dislikes
Pack animation - very minimalistic and a downgrade from 18
Dealing with new cards. It's like a 3 tier screen. New items in the middle, transfer list on top and quick sell bottom. Use the right stick to send items up or down. RT to keep what's left. Only good thing is getting a 2nd confirm that you want to quick sell just so you don't screw up. IMO something which didn't need changing.

Card design - nothing looks good

Searching in squad - no option to search from low to high. Might come back in full game

Division rivals - replacing DKT for WL qualification. Initially Complete 4 games to get your skill rating which determines your starting division and point multiplier for WL points. Once there you play games to get skill points to determine your rank (1-4) which determines your weekly rewards (packs/coins or WL points). In the beta you need 100 WL points or finish rank 1 or 2 to get qualification.. I think, so no tables but has the same premise. No idea if there is a limited number of games you can play to achieve rank or points. If it is limited then you are stuck with no online game mode to play for the rest of the time until the new cycle begins  :o

Gameplay -
slower again than 18, but any positive improvements I'll hold judgement on until I've played the full release as last years beta was far better than the full game.
Goal kicks. Now done by more accurate stick movement but very difficult to judge the distance to kick unless passing to the CB.
Timed shooting. Put in, I assume, to show why we always hit the bar/post from 3 yards out in a manic situation. I think this isn't a new innovation, but now shows a visual 'aid' as to why our shooting is crap.
All the bad in 18. Yup, it's still there. That handicap/scripted feel to games where no matter what you do, you ain't winning. Wonder keepers. slo-mo feels to certain games. They score everything/ we score nothing

In summary for me, it's just not worth it, however I love football so I'll get it. I am likely to not spend anywhere near as much time with it as any previous one though. What do we do though, there is no alternative. I think I have another 8 days before it ends so I'll report back if I find anything else

Thanks for the info.

I never get it until xmas normally anyhoo... so I always have a good 3 months of feedback to go on before deciding whether to buy.

However, I'll buy it.  I know I will.
Like you said... there is no alternative.

Monopolies commission really ought to poke their noses in...

Finesse hasn't changed at all, other than you now have to time it right, power wise.

Low driven shots are now both shoulder buttons down while shooting.

Shielding is necessary but a hard one to get right for any game. It's so OP and if done right, undefendable.

As I said all the things we hate are all still there

Just played the PES19 demo whilst waiting for the beta to update....

As bad as FIFA is right now, pes is about 4-5 years behind. Reminds me of sensible soccer, but viewed from the side, except sensible soccer is better

Another year in the bargain bin for PES. I'm amazed they can keep churning out this crap when nobody buys it.

Just played 4 games in the weekend league on the beta..... none lasted more than 20mins.

Total bullsh1t game.  I will be genuinely amazed if any of you guys like it. Passing is just horrible. I can't think of a worse iteration of FIFA. I'm gutted

The pros are going to have great fun playing this waste of space game.  EA will have to hire David copperfield to rehash this before release. 18 is light years better than this
