Seen this new option

-Compare price, when listing a player on market seems to return all current live auctions for that player to compare

Yeah it does, menu's def look that bit slicker and i think the look of the cards is an improvement, like this style.

Gameplay wise, i made some comments in the general chat thread, its encouraging def been tweaked, feels a different game.  Ill have time for a good shot on it tomorrow, literally only had 40 odd mins tongiht by time it downloaded so ill report back in more detail then.

I think they're a mix Otu (bronze/silver/gold). A few people uploaded videos to Youtube showing pack openings yesterday.

They were 'Beta' packs though rather than official starter packs.

Nice work on the pics as well Eric. Has to be said the game looks all crispy and fresh  8)

very promising stuff Otu.

Yeah had Scott Sinclair and Rafinha in mine, great luck huh.   Team's absolute crap right now, not sure how to change that, play games...? complete the manager tasks so i get a free gold pack?

The animations felt different with the players on the ball.  Quite noticeable, maybe a measure put in to try to slow the game down perhaps.   Even Neymar felt slow when he first received the ball but then he'd have a nice burst of pace after that.   Almost like the player had to adjust their weight and turn before sprinting off or busting a skill move.

What else felt different, crossing - didnt have that many but the couple i did were harmless, no players getting free headers, made me think that has been toned down a bit more too.

The general pace of the game did feel slower to me.   I played that one online seasons match last night (drew 2-2 despite leading twice :() not sure what team my opponent had (think it was as bad as mine) but my crappy defenders were holding their own, even when beaten or seemingly beaten for pace (I say that as they dont have pace to beat anyone) but they could muscle their way back in and get the ball free.  Needs further investigation later.

Thanks Dutty, apologies they aren't more revealing, just randomly took some to share with everyone.  I'll get some more after work later.  Maybe try get some of the market and other areas that look new.

I have to say i was really impressed with it for a beta.  Does make me rethink my no FUT14 till next gen strategy, guess ill be better placed to decide once Ive got a few more nights gameplay under the belt.   Feel pretty lucky to get to try it now, thanks EA, best pal  ;)   ;D

One other thing i meant to say about the game in seasons i had.   As i said my opponent had a similar team, i think his team was led by his star man Victor Moses, against mine with my golds being Sinclair, Rafinha and Classie (dutch guy is it Klassie)

You could really notice when the gold players were on the ball, if Moses had the ball he was just running at me all the way mainly, and i was doing the same with Rafinha and Sinclair.   Not sure what that tells us but if they are noticeably better amidst the rubble of a starter team, maybe handicap has been nerfed too?

Early days, I wont make any snap judgements on things like that just yet.

If I was a betting man, I'd put a tenner on you grabbing it for 360 some time between now and the 25th  ;D  ;)

I think it's the first year I've liked the look of the design before getting the game you know. Even the card design looks nice and sharp from the screenies.

Gameplay-wise, when you get the chance could you maybe test to see how much strength is a factor when defending? One of the things that's really annoyed me on UT since coming back is how many people are using the shirt pull/hold your player move, and it rarely even gets punished by the refs. Report back would be good to see how overpowered it is, or if it's even a factor.

I'm not that much of a skiller, but what's it like not using L2/LT as well? Weird, or does it feel ok?

Hmm, maybe bet against it, ill match your bet, then get it, win the bet and get a further tenner off?  :P

Yeah first impressions was strength for the defenders was more useful.  Didnt see many strikers breaking clear of the defence.  I mentioned it before, that my crappy defenders were able to hold their own, against my opponents crappy strikeforce no doubt lol.

Skill moves - like you not a huge skiller, but i know a few, all the commands felt the same, i just worked on assuming all controls were the same.  There was a couple times when i felt there was a delay entering the skill that i just 'commanded', not sure if that was due to me not hitting the buttons right or some in-game scenario that meant it didnt execute cleanly.   It was Ronaldo i was trying to do it with.   Said last night as well, he felt amazing to play with, must buy lol.  If only it was that easy.

*slowly backs away from bet*  :P

I think Ron will be out of sight for me this year with the amount I plan on playing, unless I get lucky in some of the starter packs (lol). That said I'm still not even sure which console to play on/buy, whether to grab a season ticket, or just not bother at all  ::)

Only first impressions as you say, but sounds like strong, tall forwards with good acceleration (Sturridge and the like) might be the way to go.
