Ok - so thought I would make a different thread to the previous one. Suppose it's time to do so :)

played 3 games so far, drew first one 2-2, conceded in first minute and last minute, should have won really.   2nd match i won 7-5 against a kid who seemed devastated every time he conceded and finished the match seemingly having fallen out majorly with his bro for distracting him, felt bad for winning he seemed distraught.   3rd match lost 3-1 to half decent player so can take that one on the chin.  Did go a goal up only to concede instantly after by letting his player waltz through my defence.

Im using a 41212 BPL team at moment lol.  My bad.  Made couple signings this morning, but still plenty of weak areas on the team.  Signed Eriksen and Markovic for the wings.  Would be nice to get Matic for CDM but cant afford him yet, got Cambiasso there at the moment.  Up front ive got Lukaku and Naismith.  They are doing not bad so far.   Centre backs have been awful up till now, started with Sakho and Lovren but they have brought in Onuoha (hehe) and Chiriches to get a bit more pace in there see if that helps my woeful defence.

Had a lengthy session today with the kid. Started out with offline seasons but then reverted to online.
Offline - not sure what division we're up to now, but it's getting difficult. Struggling to win on World Class against the teams in the Newcastle Utd level (overall average around 75). At times needing to keep it on professional to ensure some wins ::).

Onto online ... played 2 seasons - first was 4-1-1 with the 4 wins coming after a draw & a loss - division 10 won. Season 2 in Div 9 was bad - lag, lag & lag. Quit 3 games but still managed to win the division with a win in the last game 5-0-5 record.

A few more observations around the game ...
- GK's are doing some weird things, but Handanovic has just been amazing! Have honestly not had 1 d'oh moment from him as yet. Truly a remarkable keeper and arguably the best value for money.
- As mentioned by Pac, physical stats definitely play a big part. Played one opponent with Adebayor & Cisse up front. Ade was a nightmare to deal with - so tough to push him off the ball. But, you don't have to have it if you play a different game - more in team reviews.
- Lob+Y is nuked, but so many people are still trying to abuse it. Also, absolutely hate the fact a CB can literally get a perfect throughball on the ground at pace to the strikers - no doubt with plenty of pace.
- Finishing - quite laughable at times :D. Love it when Emenike - who we faced a LOT today - kept missing.
- GK fitness no longer goes down! This is great now as you can keep using them across a few teams. Love this fact - as you will see in the Team Review post ;D.
- Coin boosts - boy they do make a difference at the moment. Calculated that there are over 60k in coin boosts available (we are level 97).
- Replays - more of them!!! Finally.

One of the best games we won was against at team with the following lineup:

Yes - that front 5 - average of 90+ on acceleration & 89 sprint speed  :o :o.

Went down to a goal very early & the kid made the comment that we were going to be slaughtered by the pace. We were playing with our 'passing team' - so I told him to slow hit completely down. Knocked the ball around, looked for gaps & strolled to 5-1 win. Felt good.

Now ... onto the negative. Servers are atrocious!! Basically every game we were getting a 'disconnect from server' after the game. One of the Div 9 losses was a DNF after we won 5-2. Thankfully the results on the other games counted, else the tone of this post would have been very different - full of cursing & swearing no doubt ;D.

They are going to have to do a lot of work on their servers to keep people's anger at bay.

Good to hear strength is important too as i just signed Bony as the price for the pacey Vargas was way too high imo.

Yeah mate - I think UT is down for all.

Ask one of the PS guys to go into the catalogue and gift you the appropriate coin boost.  Think even on level 20 you can get a 1000x10 game bonus. It's only a few thousand EASFC.

Just played my third game and it was my first decent opponent. Defending is tough but give it a few weeks and I'll hopefully get the hang of it. Player stats definitely make a difference this year. Got into some nice positions with Rodwell and Rudnevs but missed hopelessly. Opponent also did the same. Apparently there were no shots on target all game, but I won 1-0 thanks to a Lewis Holtby diving header.
The funniest moment was the 90th minute. He managed to send Aduriz clear through my defence but he pulled up with an injury, letting the ball roll to my keeper! Only his 5th player of the game to get injured!
So that promotion with 3 wins out of 3 with no goals yet conceded.

LOL TWS - that is funny indeed! Good to see that high pressure & constant RT will see more of those happening. He's also going to have to either have a lot more squads to get those injuries sorted, or spend coins on healing cards. Me thinks there's a market opportunity in there, now that I just said that :P.

We finished one game yesterday where the kid said "great, no injuries" :D.

Not had one injury yet in my 6 games played. Won the Division 10 title with 4 win and 2 defeats. Lost a couple, the first against a guy that won 5-4, 3 of his goals he just ran straight at my defender, I tackled him but the striker steamrollered everything, whilst controlling the ball perfectly to get clean through. This seems like the biggest challenge this year so far, stopping these direct striker runs. Only was a problem in that game though.
Lost the next 2-0. Could have been that to me, but it was a decent enjoyable game with some nice moves from both sides.
Got the title with a 5-1 win against a 39 chem team with all the loan players in it. They have a blue outline if anyone didn't know. (I didn't but I guess that's what it means given the players). He tried lob through balls with no success and towards the end tried to through in the crosses. That stuff is useless this year thankfully!

Amassed enough coins to replace my Gignac in the 4231(2) team with the IF. Not used him yet but being discard, nothing to lose at all and he is the sort of striker that seems good this year and has very good shooting which is huge so far. The NIF is very good for 350 coins, got me a few goals in his 4 games.

played with my bronse last night. Haven't lost since my first game  :D

play mostly mix G/S/B on reasonable chem (90+). First game of the evening I was up against an all out pace team. But English brons are soooo good. Dribbling matters and having 3 4 Star skillers make it fun. Got 1-0 up, when he scored two back. he let me watch the replay of the second 3 times  ::), why oh why are there still a$$holes on it. Got 2-2 back in the 70th minute (watch the replay also 3 times  ;D) and hammered his goal was unable to score, so into ET. Managed to score 3 times and a solid 5-2 victory was taken. watch ALL the replays including the 7 goals in the ending  ;D

Best game of the evening was against my fist MLS pace team this year. I couldn't score and wa shammering his goal with everyhting I got untill he got the ball and just run through my midfield and defence. Defending is hard, especiially if they start to run with the ball. Think teh trick is not to select the nearest player but one further away to position him in front of the running train. Got 4 goals and thus a 4-1 victory.

so far I am really loving FUT. Sure there are still some strange things (like IRL) but as everybody is stating; stats do matter. dribbling and ball control pays off. So does passing/shooting. I am missing sitters with low rated stats on shooting but score with my high finishing players. A good thing.

Played a whole bunch of games again today - probably another 2 seasons plus a bit more. Teams felt good - connection was horrible. One monkey had his kinect in so we could hear all his expletives on how cr@p his team was performing. He did have 'Loan' Sterling at RST in a 41212 on no chem (or very little). Funniest moment was when he blasted wide and moaned how bad Welbeck was ::) :D.

Anyway, games are finishing correctly (back to the Seasons screen), but before we can start the next, we get an 'unable to create game session' & then booted out of UT. Log back into UT and get the 'DNF' message ::). Once again EA proves that they are massively incompetent, under-skilled or under-staffed. This happened even after they took the web app market offline again.

Had one 2v2 game - actually played them some time previously as he had the same GT. This game can be ridiculously good (and fun) when there are 2 people on each side wanting to play football. Best game we've had in a long, long time. GG messages ensued.

Really is a shame that EA is so narrow-minded when it comes to 'community'. As we've chatted about before, the ability to have a lounge where certified (approved) users can gather, would go a long way in increasing enjoyment in the game. Could hear a few more people & they really are naive little gamers - all about the win.

Oh ... 'player of the day' this side was Welbeck - most faced that is ;D.
