Free kicks seem exactly the same as 15. Absolutely no change at all.

Picked up my first two division championships.

It took me 6 games to get out of division 10 with my pack only, low chem, starter pack. and 7 games to clinch the div 9 title with two bronze teams I build. record 7-5-1.

Record looks better then I feel I'm playing, at least I remembered how to find the far corner  :D

my verdict so far:

Good
-matchmaking; played 11 games against opponents with about the same squad-rating, mostly some gold players in the mix but also low chem bronze defenders
-good passing and crossing is really difficult.
-defending is difficult, strenght>pace (atm ::))
-playerinstruction

Bad
-random defending screw-ups (bad touches, keepers suddenly rushing out)
-quicktactics (were did they go?)
-players not responding,

Ugly
-referee, sometimes I had an Aussie rules referee, tackles from behind when I'm holding up the ball without a problem and sometimes for looking you already got booked, and such easy penalties
(got 4 against and hold them all!!! :o 8)

In the middle of building two teams for div 8. one is with that bronze IF RM, prices are great for bronze players  ;D
In need of a new goal!!

I've reached my first Gold Cup final of 16 with 7-0, 1-0 and 2-1 wins. Apart from the first match, two tough battles.

Interesting thoughts Beuk. Really am liking a lot of aspects to the game play at the moment. But, do realise that nothing is perfect & there are some frustrating aspects at times.

Nice TWS - does seem like some very tight games at times.

Bit of a shake up around teams today. Sold off a bunch, bought Neymar. Later in the evening, we sold off a few more, and bought Tevez. Was late but played the one game with Tevez ... simply put - he's a monster! Felt amazing in-game.

Diego Costa has been very good. Kinda what he kept doing to us in '15, we managed to do now with him. He ended with 16 in 17 games with 8 assists - but has now been sold off. The big guys feel better, but that low balance stat still makes it hard, not to feel a little too clumsy. Has shown great strength at times & will use him again later.

Well well ... had a good run of games in Seasons last night. Games were easy to find & even played against an opponent with a guest. Only 1 person backed out - a few times - when he saw the guest. Did have 1 laggy game but messaging him, he mentioned his side was quite laggy too. I decided I would believe him & blame EA servers :D. Although the very next game felt like it was on speed again.

Last time we couldn't get the results to progress out of Div 4. This time it was 5 wins in a row to start, a bit of wobble with 2 losses, then got the 2 wins for the title. The 2 losses were frustrating - some ridiculous saves & off-the-line clearances. But, we could've/should've played/defended better.

Our overall Seasons results stands at 40-9-12 - very acceptable for us.

Nice mate, glad it is going well

At the moment am staying offline and the gold cup, did play a draft on another account (trying to unlock the transfer market  ::) )

2 up through a Cavaini double but the defense collapsed and finished 2-2 did win it in ET, second round 2 up again but lost 4-2 sick of people walking past CB's like there not there and then spinning around in the box looking for pens conceded 3 yes ****>:( was not happy because at 2 up i was taken down twice from behind only to hear the commentator say fantastic tackle  >:( >:( >:(

and with clubs messed up with pros resetting am not really enjoying this fifa yet, maybe what i needed anyway.

That sucks mate!!

Conceding penalties - that's harsh, definitely one of the big gripes! The other night - first 3 games conceded 4 penalties and had 3 red cards.

Overall the refs in this game are shocking. I know we tend to be biased watching our own games, but like you, you get hacked down & nothing. Then, you slightly walk into a forward in the box and it's a penalty.

That whole unlocking bit! WTF is on with that ???. Do you have to win a draft to unlock it?

On my return this evening, my results have continued to be a bit all over the place and this evening ended 2-2-2. Did manage to win Division 10 though with a dodgy 12 points from 9 games.
First game back though, managed to score this goal. All 10 outfield players involved before the ball hits the net:

Vejinovic, the Feyenoord guy, is almost my top scorer. Scores free kicks and long shots incredibly easily.
People are starting to get more used to the game now. They've worked out how to use pace, and it does seem to resemble FUT15 more and more by the day.
There was a video floating around the dark side yesterday about how to sprint very quickly and change direction at full speed AND with a speed boost. Tried it for "research purposes" and I can confirm that even with my low rated golds like Fetfatzidis and Matias that it works when cutting in off the wing. When everyone has Bale, Robben, Ronaldo, Neymar, Hazard and co, it's going to be pace all over again that will be difficult to stop.

I've found Djordevic to be more potent for my Serie A team than Morata has been in the games i've played so far.  Not criticising Morata but just found Djordevic seemed to be in the right place and provide the right finish more often up until this point.

Also been quite keen on De Guzman at CAM.  He's better than i expected him to be.  Pacey, decent shot and good set piece stats.   An able deputy or first choice.  My other CAM for rotation is Hernanes.   Not sure I've decided which i prefer yet.

Starting to get my head around things now and have enjoyed playing the game the past few nights. People are getting better at using pace, but it's still nowhere near as bad as it has been previously.  Still not won any cups yet. The semi final is like the final was for me last year! Always find a way to lose it.

finally started to play some games. It was a disaster! Not sure why I thought this game would be different than FIFA15, zig zag all the way! AI is horrible, you pass to a near by player and he just let the ball go  :o, defending AI is as horrible as last year. Why oh why do I think every year that it would be different????

Will give it some more games this weekend, but I am not hopeful. I don't feel the same flow as I had with the demo.

to add : it is like I am playing bronze cups, I cannot find a match straight away. Takes 3 - 4 tries? WTF?
