Lost the final of that Huth Cup to an attribute card team with two Sturridge 2* weak foot goals. Enough said.

That's some statmentalism on a CB. Vaguely relevant, looked at Mousinhos TOTS card today. Used to be a CM so he's got some excellent (for a bronze) technical stats as a CB, he'd be very decent back in midfield.

On the new team with the Benelux boys. My session with them last night was pretty bollocks, whole team suffering ill luck and general incompetance. Kums did seem like the pick of the two, some nice plays and smooth jinks past his man to open space. Overall tho, the team just did not live up to it's stats even remotely, highlight being a 2 nil defeat to a 76 rated, 49 chem amateur. Wouldn't lay to much blame on the team tho, my very excellent and often joyous A team (Kroos/Vidal/SIF Pjanic etc) was also unusually rubbish.
But miraculous flabbergasted astonishment followed. Decamped to the bronze cup and found 4 successive opponents without so much as a single no opponents found message. Didn't win them all so never tested the sudden functional matchmaking on a final.
What this does possibly mean is a proper UT renaissance. The Belginho team has it's head on the chopping block, with numerous excellent looking TOTS bronzes champing at the bit to join Cuz FC for a long awaited return assault on pacy attribute carded English bronzes. Funds are needed.

Ouch TWS ... that sucks mate. I was honestly surprised by the fact that I did not see attribute cards on any team I faced in that cup. Shocked.

Good to hear on the bronzes Cuz.

Bought a SIF Kagawa yesterday ... for 17k :o! Love him! Even hit one from 20+ yds ... sweetly struck and almost thought it was going to beat the keeper. Didn't. Not surprised ... 47 shot power. LOL.

Another gold cup final yesterday but it was never going to go my way. Giving up stupid goals when you tackle them but they just plough through everything is just the most annoying thing ever!

Just won the untradable TOTS Sane after four straight rage quits. Used a false 9 team with SIF Malli at CF. He was very good, but the star of the team was Julian Draxler at LW. He was great. So good on the ball and puts the ball away very easily.
Also the midfield of Gundogan, IF Kirotake and Luiz Gustavo all seemed to compliment each other well. Even Konstantin Engel at RB wasn't too bad against the constant pace of either Reus or Coman. Nobody seems to bother with Ribery!

Nice one TWS! Well done.

On Ribery - he's felt pretty decent on the ball, but his stamina is simply horrible. Shows as 69 in-game, but he drops off way too quick. I was using him in a 'passing-focused' team (had Mata at RW), and whilst I really enjoyed the team, he was just ... bad. Draxler there is aa better option.

Actually managed to win the Bundesliga TOTS Cup again, first go with mostly untradables. TOTS Sane is very good and was very nice beating a full attribute card 5221 in the final with him destroying the oppo with two goals and an assist. Kind of funny really when you think about it!

Glad tidings! Have continued to find opponents in the bronze cup with little fuss and have obviously been sucked right back into UT as a result. I really do love using bronzes. The BS is there but the inherent crapness of the players definitely helps with the acceptance of  their random struggles.
The other side of it is of course, the range and the prices. From the weirdness of 15 TOTS across 4 teams, I went to 16 across 6 teams, 2 in 2, 3 in the rest. Hybrid material in every corner of the globe and for minimum bid 90% of the time.
Better performances and results, got an extremely long awaited addition to the bronze cup shelf in the trophy cabinet. Andrezinho (a revelation, up there with Kielb and IF McGinn as one of the very best I've used) stole the show with 2 goals and an assist in a 4-1 demolition of the de rigeur English opponent. False 9 seems like a match made in heaven for him, basically the bronze Deco.
However, his line up is a 2 TOTS one. The other stellar performance (5-2) came from my most unfancied new team, the other 2 TOTS team (442-Trossard/Ndidi). Struggled unreasonably in several games with 3 TOTS involved. SO, 2 more teams under construction now. Going for the optimum, 2 feature special cards per side. Tin foil hat maybe, but I've had some 3 IF gold teams perform worse than expected too. Every time I've gone with 2 on this FIFA, I've had only the usual nonsense, mixed in with fine performances and been able to feel the upgrade in the specials. 3 feels... iffy.

Pretty much back to the good old days atm then. A plethora of bronze hybrids, a liberal spread of excellent special cards and the cup win to cap it off. More smoothish matchmaking, another 100 odd bronze cup wins and it'll feel like the UT13 peak experience has returned in full.

Just won the TOTS Bundesliga Cup for the third time, 12 wins in the past 13 games, with a first round loss in between 2nd and 3rd wins. And that loss was actually one of the best games I've played on UT this year.
The star of the team this time was Valentin Stocker, playing at RCM in a 433(2). Ended with 5 goals in 5 games and everyone of them was pretty decent. Volleys, longshots, first time finishes, and even a bullet header from a cross to open the scoring in the final. He also got the second in a 4-1 win.
Bring on more Aubameyang runners!

Lost another gold cup final with my IF Totti team 2-1 on Thursday. That's three finals I've lost with that team now. Yesterday, made another gold cup team with TOTS Forrestieri at false 9. The desperation for coins so a cheaper TOTS Christie appear for a lot cheaper than he has been, which allowed me to complete the team.
Also went into the Spanish Cup with a team lead by SIF Sanabria. He is pretty decent and I am in the Semi Final in my hunt for TOTS Castro!

Yea you're right on that one Kiwi, haven't been interested in any of these cups but have had a go at this one.

Using this team

Got beat in the final last night had 3 easy games up to the final 5-1, 4-0 and a 2-0 RQ after 14 mins in the semi but although it was full green bars for the final the frame lag and input lag from the kick off in the final meant i was doomed so sick of the randomness of the quality of the games this year compared to other years.

Have to say i hadn't used TIF Aduriz since i got him bt my god can he shoot.
