Played a few games today. Continuing yo-yo experiences - consecutive relegations to D3, followed up consecutive title wins in D3 and D2.

Started a new season last night, drew the 1st game, but it never recorded. Ok then ... Played a few more & was having a good run - 4 straight wins, but, followed that up with 3 straight losses. Started today & won the first game - 15 points thus expecting the 'division held' screen. Nope - season not over and need to keep playing. Okie dokie ...

Win the next game & then draw 3-3 (3 goals and I almost lost it!) ... and presented with this:

... and this after I quit out:

Missed the mark there on the # of points for a title, but got the kit again (they really should try be more creative after having to discard 17 duplicate kits!) and the 15k ... not complaining about that. ;D

Patch update and their math goes for a loop. Nice ... !

Last night on FIFA saw a lot of pretty strange goings on. Some extremely dodgy things going on for both sides. Unexplainable, illogical stuff! In the end though, there was a happy ending. Managed to win my 27th Gold Cup in my 60th final of UT16.
Highlight of the run was beating an absolutely shocking Serie A pace team 4-0 in the semi final, with TOTS Forestieri getting a second consecutive hat trick. Enjoyed using him as a false 9. The team I played against in that semi was playing with these attacking 5 in 41212:

Callejon - Doumbia
Mertens
Insigne - Biabiany

In the second half, Sau replaced Insigne, and Candreva (bit slow really) replaced Mertens. Was also a bog standard CDM and back four for a Serie A side.
The final brought a 2-0 win after extra time.

After an awful run of condeding the most horrendous run of BS goals, managed to turn things around and won my 28th gold cup.
IF Totti was the hero, scoring a first half treble in the semi final against Sturridge and friends.
The final was standard Bundesliga pace. Had my usual bad start and was 1-0 down to Aubameyang in 4 minutes! For all the pace ( Bellarabi at CM!), i began opening his defence up tim after time and eventually IF Nils Petersen made it 1-1. It was fitting when in the 82nd minute, IF Totti put the game to bed as lots of fast players ran like headless chickens around him.

Good win mate.

Been playing as when I can - hectic time at work.

Decided to try some packs - them 'special ones'. One batch wasn't horrendous - initial TOTS Carvajal (80k-odd) was a good return.

Then, tried some late Saturday night ... 4.6k FP on (can't remember specifically) special packs yielded 3 TOTS ... yes ... THREE! Matuidi, Miranda and Koulibaly - well over 400k worth. Best bit of pack luck for a long, LONG time.

Ended up building a bit of a monster team with others that we had:

Some massively OP players led to a few decent games - Benzema was 7 from 7. Then it went a bit custard-y ... go figure. Oh well ... at least there's some fun, some of the time :D.

I feels it.
Saw TOTS Icardis stats and felt compelled to get him. Sold SIF Florenzi for a tasty packet, given his shock no TOTS insta-rise. Sold SIF Pjanic for a mighty loss- 103k down :D
Bought Icardi to slot straight in up front for the B team.
Not immensely impressed. He's very good but not as good as his stats say he should be. Basically like TIF Higuain but with more affection for hitting the post and less fwd movement.

So putting him in with IF Salah and TOTS Lodeiro, topping up with my old, unused squad fitnesses, played a run of games with them.
Preposterous abysmalness in the 1st 2, some of the worst touches, bounces, misplaced passes and GK buffoonery I've seen.
Dropped Lodeiro, put Banega, Alba and Pereyra back in. Boom. Latter with a hat trick in a 5-1 demolition job. Missed Lodeiro tho, (really is a terrific playmaker), so bought Insigne, put him in for Salah and brought Totti back too.
Great run of games, with the now all NIF A team joining in, Nainggolan in for Panic.  Won the cup in a 6 game win streak.

Feeling buoyed by this, I put it on yesterday and was treated to an all new stream of total dullardishness. Even quit 3 games in a row because I just couldn't be arsed with it.
Did finish off with a couple bronze starter team slaughters, Andrezinho laughing in the face of handicap with 3 goals in the 1st 15 min for my 2nd hapless lamb. Brightened things up a touch.

Got Overwatch now tho, between that and GTA, FUT should be getting some serious back burner time.

Interesting additional stat. New Florenzi scored in his 2nd game. I swear, every gold full back I get scores in their 2nd game. Literally every single one. Even if they never do again.

Some seriously anti football players recently. Everyone on park the bus and stay back when attacking, with the front two or three on get in behind and of  course, fast!

My gold cup team has been a massively enjoyable false 9 with the ridiculously good SIF Jonas at CF. His TOTS must be insane! Lost a final with it on Tuesday but it has gone all the way tonight with 4-1, 4-1, 3-2 and 4-0 wins. Jonas scored two goals in each match, including one of the best free kicks I've scored to complete the scoring in a surprisingly easy game and one sided match.

Typical FUT yesterday. Won six out of six, scoring goals all over the place to get into both Gold and EASFC Cup finals. Was 2-0 up at half time in the EASFC final when it started acting up! Conceded two ludicrous goals, the second from a crazy corner of the box shot that my keeper dived out the way of. The third goal I let in topped the lot. The ball was going so slowly it would barely have had the power to reach the net, but instead of simply picking it up, my keeper decided to do a terrible dive, parried the ball straight back out and just took forever to get back up allowing a tap in for one of the stupidest goals I've ever witnessed!
The Gold Cup final wasn't far behind it for the stupidity of it. His keeper was making crazy saves, absolutely unbeatable. Then, predictably, the 90th minute and it had to happen. Somehow my defender fails to deal with a ball, allows a much weaker striker to push past him and shoot with his weak foot. Luckily the shot had no power on it (guess where this is going.......), but somehow the keeper dived over the ball, it hit the post and bounced back towards my defender. Of course, being the 90th minute my keeper decides it'd be a good idea to palm the ball back into the net.

Sometimes this game just **** you over. Fun.

After waking up with the worst toothache imaginable and then passing out through the pain in the bathroom while getting ready for work, I shouldn't have had much success on FIFA yesterday. Dosed up on medicine and painkillers, I played some FUT after spending the day watching old episodes of The Bill and in hospital.
Lost the first game, but then smashed through six straight wins. 5-1, 3-0 and 3-1 wins got me to the Gold Cup final. After initial attempts by the game to match me with Sweat FC and then Beast FC, I found a match against a Bundesliga 433(4) with all the usual pacey players. The match lasted 7 in game minutes!
TOTS Alan Dzagoev put me one up from a pass by TOTS Alexandr Samesov on 3 minutes, and in the 7th minute I passed around his hyperative defenders to put Dzagoev through on goal. Boateng hacked me down for a red card and a penalty. But we never got to see either as the guy just quit! Gold Cup number 30 in the bag!
Also got a couple of the wins by 1-0 in the TOTS Cup. Second one was against a full BBVA team with blues, both TOTY and TOTS, Messi and Ronaldo. Defended for a full 90 minutes without the guy creating much and then with my first shot on goal in the 90th minute, a Rooney free kick flew in.
Some days it goes your way I guess!

After losing 7-6 on penalties in the final after a 2-2 draw in the Les Bleus Cup yesterday, I went one better today to win the cup and a rare gold pack.
3-0, 1-0 and 3-0 wins got my to the final. Final put me against a slow strikeforce of Ntep, Lacazette and Biabiany! I was on top and it paid off in the 44th minute when I managed to get Nabil Fekir through to put me a goal ahead. There was still time for a second goal before half time when, for the second game running, TOTS Jullien headed home from a corner.
Second half was one way traffic and only the woodwork and Lloris prevented me from scoring again. He brought on even more pace in Remy and in injury time he managed to sneak one with Lacazette. He didn't get the ball again!

The pack was classic EA. It flashed up a rare German goalkeeper but the pause while the badge appeared seemed a lot longer than usual! The Leverkusen badge came up and it was to be Leno but not Neuer. Could have been worse I guess, but Routledge and Viviano weren't the best of pulls.

Also the hype of the game on Friday night still seemed to be in action. The original pre upgrade Payet I'd had for ages and bought for 1.4k months ago sold instantly for 6.2k. IF Giroud I picked up when he was released a few week ago for 10.5k. He sold instantly for 24.5k. Not bad and my coin total is now at it's highest in 16 at 425k and with an absolute ton of IF's and TOTS in my club.

Good one mate. Congrats on the win.

Yeah - was surprised too by some prices. During the course of our day, I can also see trends - pretty decent fluctuations of 5-6k on a 20k player.

On the playing front ...
Have continued to play and the constant yo-yo is frustrating. I know it's an obvious statement, but the connections ... ARRRGHHH! Play one game ... TOTS Benz scores 4 & assists 1. Simply finishing everything & if not finishing, then at least it's on target.

Next game, it's post after post, missing by inches, or blasting everything over by a yard. The game is slightly slower - not that noticeable - but it's there.

Playing with a massively OP team at the moment - averages on the front 6 is ludicrous:

Trying hard to play a passing game and not abusing the pace ... can be tough! Easily have 60%+ possession with them. Rage quits are less these days (there are still a few), but have put past 5 against a player - he keeps playing.

But ... the moment there is lag, noticeable IMO is better - at least you can see it. But when the connection appears OK but there are weird things on, then it's tough.

After a few quits & co-op games, got relegated yesterday. The kid only played about 2/3 because of the connection - he walked away. I turned to PGA Gold 16 for a few rounds & went back to FIFA.

Fantastic connection - kid even noticed it when he came in - and won 4 in a row. Not just won - probably scored close between 15 & 20 goals in that run.

It is frustrating when it decides it wants to lag. Perfect connection earlier on and can play decent stuff and score goals, sneak 1-0 wins over obviously good players. This evening, lag all round. Four games, and they all have some degree of lag. Defending becomes a lottery, passing football becomes 10 times harder as you just get closed down or passes go all over the place. So inconsistent this game.

Cannot agree more with what you said there. It's a real shame/curse/frustration when that happens.

I simply block people now when I have a bad connection with them.
