Good pull!

I saw these new packs that they were bringing out - decent addition, but really only worth it they keep adding SBC's like this. The SBC's made me not play much yesterday ... was cool.

We'll, it's almost Sunday and I still have 33 games to play! That is not going to happen. Been playing Fortnite. Despite the seven games of weekend league I've played being pretty decent games, even the one I lost 4-1 after having 18 shots to the opponents 4, I just can't be bothered to grind it. The Alex Sandro profit is pretty much what I would have made from rewards, probably even more, so just can't be bothered with it!

Finished on the 18 wins. Was absolutely atrocious.

Honestly, I am stunned at the quality of opponent I lose to. I question my own sanity at times - seriously. It's either that or I wonder what EA has against me.

Then, I think about the fact that one game from another, can be WAY different. So, is it really connection - does this have a material impact? The kid played a few games this morning - 4 I think (was 2-2 btw) and I noticed how very different the pace was - between 2 consecutive games.

FYI - for the 2nd weekend in a row, I am only playing home games. Doesn't seem to have an impact - still have erratic connections ... nothing bad, but just the pace is slower in some - and those are the ones I struggle in - regardless of the quality of opponent.

Just so sad ... no, actually, just disappointing.

so why are you guys actually still playing this WL or UT in general? It should be enjoyable.

The difference between game sessions is noticeable to me too. Sometimes everything is fine. And than suddenly the next game you have players running like they are stuck in a swamp. There is button lag (I DID PASS ALREADY MINUTES AGO!!), etc. The game is unplayable.

The scripting is horrendous.  I do understand that there needs to be a sort of scripting, otherwise someone would score 20 goals. But the saves are totally from another planet. The extended legs of defenders are a joke, so are the heat seeking tackles. EA decides. It is simple as that.

I am playing a lot of pro clubs. We found out that a long pass always, (yes ALWAYS) reaches his target. No matter what. The ball flies likes a guided missile 40 meters to land perfectly at the shoe of the striker....

For me Glad ... two words - dedicated servers.

Seasons is hit 'n miss. Can actually start a game on 4 green bars, and halfway through you get a 1-2 second pause/circle ... and then you keep going. So frustrating! Half of them are general tw@ts too, might not be playing as hard as in WL, but they're still doing their best to sprint through your team.

Now, if they only made Seasons dedicated servers, then I'd gladly reduce the time on WL.

Oh ... and do agree with you on the scripting, "EA decides", torpedo tackling, etc.

I guess if I had to call what my "abuse" is in the game, it has to be slide tackles - I'd say (with no arrogance) that I do that pretty well. Have had LOTS of attempts over the years ;D. Why do I do it? Well, probably because the player switching can be so bad, that I feel I've got to do something else. Not the best logic, but works a lot for me.

I'm playing it very casually. Only played 7 weekend league games, and am just playing a few dkt and sesons games here and there. I enjoy trying to play my game and scoring nice goals. Bergkamp is helping in that respect.
The game is just too broken and messed up to be playing 40 games of competitive play. So just playing casually and enjoying a few games here and there and concentrating more on Fortnite, in which I pulled off my second solo win last night, killing all the final 5 guys which was intense! After that played duos and no FIFA at all.
A couple of games this morning got to the dkt final, lost 2-1 after dominating but a supercharged Begovic was saving everything whilst my keeper did nothing. Oh well.

A couple of games last night turned into four games and a dkt win. Can't see myself playing much more than 10 weekend league games though.

Played another game this morning. The opponent just sat there with 35% possession and scored every shot on the counter with three forwards, including a ridiculous joke penalty for his third while his keeper saved everything from point blank. I reeled off four goals in 15 minutes in the second half though to win, but that's me done for the day.

Attempted two games tonight. First one was dodgy. Was 2-0 up and cruising. He pauses and when it returns, I have the worst lag known to man. Passes registering in the opposite direction, completely unplayable. Just quit that. Can't be bothered with that.
Second game was a standard Premier League pace fest. I had 18 shots, the opponent had not one all game. Was 2-0 up but in the first half, but then it was like I wasn't meant to score again. Posts, crossbars or Begovic making impossible saves, it just wasn't going to happen. No doubt if I'd allowed him two shots on my goal, it'd be 2-2.

But the crowning moment was this in the 88th minute:

The game is just so messed up this year, it's unbelievable. Just like a racing game where when you're in the lead and the cars behind can suddenly overtake you out of nowhere even if you are both at top speed in exactly the same cars.

Wow ... that's crazy. It's almost as if the defender complains that he was fouled. Stupid!

10-4 ... to 17-23. Lost the last game on penalties. The amount of chances I missed ... stuns me.

Love this game ...

Wondering how and why I even bother.

Well, I've been around all weekend, not been working and am still unbeaten in Weekend League! Have absolutely no wish to play it! A few games during the week and that is it for me now. Last year that happened in August, this year the back end of November. Never basically given up on a FIFA this early. Never.
Just been on the dark side and read the same stuff as ever about how bad weekend league is. Don't regret not touching it at all. Happy, stress free weekends with this afternoon, several consecutive top 8 finishes in Fortnite, including a very unlucky 2nd in my final game. Infinitely better than grinding weekend league for months on end.

Will go on FIFA later to open some bronze packs and put together a couple of teams involving some of the IF's I've gathered up in the past couple of months to use for the ten or so games I'll casually play during the week. Also maybe do a few of the League SBC teams, none of high I'm anywhere near completing. But that is about my lot on FIFA these days.

And finally the dc glitch has been made public, is all over twitter and was on the forums without being deleted for over half an hour. Gives the win if done when winning, game doesn't count when losing. A well known pro apparently did it when getting destroyed by a legit German pro that streams all his games and now his results don't add up somehow when tallied with what the Champions Channel shows. Evidence and lots of shady stuff on YouTube videos that suggest pros and guys that have qualified for regionals have been using it. Incredible stuff and has apparently worked for years. Game is done if EA mess this up now.

Yeah mate ... that is quite incredible.

IMO it should put a REAL dampener on the future of this eSport. BUt, as EA have done they'll turn a blind eye to it and will promote the Regionals like nothing has happened. Nobody will be able to talk about (like the kid experienced with the network issues, etc) and all will appear 'normal'.

In a way I am actually really glad he has not pursued FUT Champs in '18
