well had a few online games, and offline with our little draft league ... personally this game is one of the worst EA has released, after the patch, all our games are 5.5 6.5 5.4 what is this? we will go tie break instead of penalties. seriously the guided missile passing, autotackling which came back after the patch etc is killing it. dont know how this will end.

icon sbcs, are no expiry so eventually rates etc must come down,as people will keep on opening packs.

There are a lot of problems with the game there is no doubt. The pattern is that during the week if you play just to have fun, winning irrelevant, you tend to actually enjoy it, and the opponents don't tend to be ones that abuse everything constantly. Sure you get some, but when they are sporadic, it's tolerable.
The problem is weekend league. Almost every opponent knows the game well, is trying hard to win, and the games tend to be hideous. Just resembling some sort of hyper pinball machine. Once again, there is too much is the game that works too well and really shouldn't.

Last night I was thinking about not using my Locadia team and going with something involving my rewards, but played a game to try and get Locadia the one goal he needed to get to 50. He scored 5! Going to keep that team for a bit longer.
My other team has four IF's and Mario Gomez upfront. Could have picked up IF Wagner to make it five informs but will go with what I have.

Barely slept all night, woke up in a pool of sweat and with an upset stomach so no work for me today. Wonder what else I can do?

might be true, during the week part i mean - hwr even in seasons, its the same bs, i do play seasons, for warm up, for our draft league.
and its the same, fastest h2h to date, and ping pong everywhere.

the prime icons apparently are in packs as well, so hopefully market will get to balance in the long run.

the weekend league, and its rewards weekly and monthly , quite a good tool for sbcs,  therefore its the most broken mode ever, due to people wanting to win at all cost.

and as a last note, wishing you well tws, hope you recover soon ...

It's the defending that has changed. As a result scores in games is exaggerated. The kamikaze defending which in previous iterations - with manual defending - was effective (for me at least). Now, you cannot defend like that and a number of people are being caught out. I've had a few games where 10 goals where scored in the first 35 minutes. Insane stuff.

Next game ... Son & Sane as ST's ... great. Nope, Jesus is the CAM. LOL ::)

Edit ... Quit at 2-2 in that one - I have 2 red cards in the first 35 min. Way too tilted to play this fu%ked-up bullshit.

1-4 ... it can still get worse I suppose.

Do like IF Locadia TWS. He's my go-to sub in the main team.

Locadia's stats are pretty unique. Has everything important, although people miss out because they can't link him or ignore him because of 2* skills.
I've started off ok. Currently 6-4 after 10 games. Hit eight goals in the first match, and came from 2-0 down at halftime to win 6-2 against some sort of full pace team.
Defending wise, I kind of change depending on where the ball is and the situation. The runs I normally let them run into me, with a charged tackle waiting to unleash. And because the vast majority of the time defenders are much stronger than the quick forwards, you dominate them. In the opponents half I'm way more aggressive in trying to get the ball than ever before. It's all still a work in progress though. Even since the patch, defending is very different than last year.

how is second man press ? would it help on the opponents half ?
the potential problem here as i see it, the ping pong passing, eventough you would try to close the passing lanes, opponent can pass their way out.

I hardly ever use it. Maybe once today for about 2-3 seconds so far in eleven games. It's all about the charged up standing tackle for me. With a strong defender to opponents 99% of the time, weaker striker gets destroyed. Only see Ibra walk through them so far which is how things should be. Have enjoyed the zig zag runners getting frustrated and sliding about so far today.
I'm not a great defender by any means but have had success getting tight on opponents speedy forwards and simply destroying them with a charged up tackle. With a good strong defender, the radius is big and the forward just gets eased of the ball or completely destroyed. Extremely rare to get even a booking from mistiming one, a lot of the time the refs don't even do anything.

Raining here this morning. All plans put on hold means I can (for the time being) continue with the wonders of WL.

1-8 now after quitting whilst 1-0 up against a pauser/changer, and of course another red card.

I'm loving this ...

Pretty standard stuff. Went from 8-4 to 8-10 this evening. My keepers didn't save a shot in 4 games ffs. All but one of those games I had more shots, one of them 19 to 4 in my favour. Lost that 3-2. So many games decided by the keepers. In that one his keeper made at least three point blank wonder saves, whilst mine just lets in anything.
Luckily managed to get two wins to end and am 10-10. The new thing this week seems to be the battle every team has to get into position for the sweet spot long shots. The 25 yard long shot across the keeper or the edge of box finesse shots from the central area on the edge of the box. Much less of the one two through ball spam. They all seem to want to try and hit long shots from the exact same spot every game.

Good job ... I'm not too good at the moment. I can FEEL the lack of skill in an opponent ... but yet it's a full-on struggle.

Yep - all the psycho mumbo-jumbo getting to me.

FYI - sign that I am tilted and "almost controlled":
