wow congratz again to all in WL : ) i splashed all my coins into a hunt for ST CR and of course all gone into packs, or gone in vain i must say, roughly around 300k ... started to sell consumables and raised a 90k, bought an IF siggurdson, and IF sow for my turkish team.

IF siggy looks so much of a potential, if i find time to play, i will see : )

My team? A 4231 Italian/Serie A mishmash. IF Balotelli as striker who has 9 in 9 and is crazy good. Was my favorite striker at the tail end of 15 but never used him last year. A huge recommendation!
At right CAM I have my newly aquired squad builder Giovinco.

how much for IF balo? and also how much you spent on Giovinco? or you hv done it by time, buying bronze packs etc - seems to me MLS is still quite expensive.

and lastly every year i take cassano in, and also totti, play like 20 30 games each and they are quite ok i must say.

IF Balotelli was around 40k. A bit pricey but an early IF so shouldn't lose much, if anything. He is extremely good as well!

The MLS I have done over time from packed bronze players. Have also packed a decent amount of silvers from the upgrade SBC. I keep any player that is worth 200 BIN or less, and as I have so many duplicates, I put all those worth nothing into the bronze upgrade. Have packed so many Untradable silvers from that, including extinct Toulouse defenders, and 10k Sporting Kansas City foreign players.
Also most of the teams if you're smart, you can use either two or three players out of position and avoid the most expensive positions altogether. Have been doing the Pro League ones the last couple of days and have done 10 of the 16 and have only spent 20k because of pulling a Smalling from a gold type of pack, and a few very expensive silvers from silver reward packs.
Also the prices can vary wildly at different times of day, and open bids can get some unexpected bargains at night or during the morning especially.

So ... day and a bit gone for the WL.

Kid started well last night - ended on 7-1. Loss (1-2) was the last game of the evening and was a bit harsh. This morning started with a win to get things going, but then came up against a real twat. He scored first and did his best to waste time - from the 40th min ::). Kid managed to equalise and then went ahead straight after. He saw it out ... until the 90th min where his RB was caught out, hoof it forward and a corner and a free kick later, the douche equalised. Into extra time, kid has a few opportunities, but could not put it away. His Kante did - from 20yds, in the 120th minute. Okie dokie then ...

But, kid pulled himself together and went on a 23-win streak :o :o. 9 x rage quits, GF-GA was 66-19. One game he was 1-3 and turned it around. He took the approach of 1 game at a time and play till he loses.

The loss did come - a decent opponent (good messages afterwards) and his Tash Ibra getting a hat trick. Pity ... but it really had to come!

With a record of 31-3, he's really hoping for a good run in the morning & a possibility of a 2nd Top 100 finish!

Doing slightly better than me! I am 9 -12. Things have not been going well at all. Have also had three penalty shootouts and won all three, so it could easily be a lot worse. Just want to reach the magic number of 18 wins but obviously need to improve somewhat!
Not been happy with the team and letting in stupid goals to standard pace teams. Has helped that my goalkeeper has been pretty shocking, letting in terrible shots (including more than once, the ball morphing straight through his body parts), but bottom line been playing awful. Hopefully today will be better......

Good luck mate.

Do think the team has a fair amount to do with it! Have changed it to this:

Zanetti being the most recent purchase and replacing Carvajal which was suspect at times.

Kid finished off with 5 wins of the 6 ending on 36 wins (with a decent skill rating). So, hope that will be enough for another Top 100 finish!

The countdown was on and we were slipping from that overnight 13th-odd spot. We were hoping simply to stay in the Top 75, would mean the extra pack too.

In the end, we finished on ...

Really impressed with the kid's play - must say. I watched another forumer on Twitch - an American guy. He went on to finish with 38 wins. I was shocked how poor his play was, as well as the opponent's. All along I guess I've expected the Europe and America regions to be stronger than Rest of the World. But watching that guy, the kid plays a far better (and composed) game.

I managed to recover my dodgy Friday. Didn't play many on Saturday as I had work and then didn't feel great afterwards. Yesterday was good though and I got to Gold 3 with games to spare and in again next week.

think i said it earlier but, the additions to fut in the past few years , are quite good i must admit.
first the draft, price caps and now the sbc and the WL ... without spending real money, you can really make millions if you are a good player.
and so buy whomever you want ...

Yeah OT ... do agree. Definitely something in there now & more than just playing the game. Some will say ... finally!

Decided today that we're going to try something different ... Pack Only. Over the years I've heard this and honestly thought that people were nutty to do so. Given that we have the main account, it sounds like something to try. So, created a brand new account & club, bought 1 batch of 4.6k FP and got going. There were Prime Gold Players Packs available - 6 of them yielded a Ben Arfa, IF Dante.

Kid used 300 of the remaining 400 coins to play a draft - won that and got 2 x Rare Gold packs & 1 Premium Gold pack - with Gotze in there. Sold off IF Dante as he would really not fit in with the other players, and the kid used that to buy another FUT Draft. Once again he won that and got a Rare Players pack - 4 keepers, which is handy.

Been tracking this all - thought that would be fun too. Will post that at some point.

Anyway, after that initial FP purchase & 2 drafts later, this is the team we can field:

Ochoa as a keeper doesn't have the best stats, but has long throw and 87 Acceleration!

Must say that draft makes this quite a different challenge. Most PO challenges that I've seen, have either had to spend plenty FP, or spend all coins on packs. Now, spending coins on Draft means your rewards are generally better than 2 x Premium Gold Packs.

So ... it was a good day today!

Initially Ruffier was the top-rated player so not sure what to expect. When Vardy showed up if was "list as quick as you can"! Managed to sell off for 469k :o :o. Insane amount of money for an 84-rated first IF!!!

Also got Brozovic (99k!), Gayle & Zaha (approx 45k each!) and even the Ruffier went for 54.5k. Not a heck of a lot in the 3 Jumbo player packs - Ice Kongolo, Alderweireld, Navas and 2x Banega cards (nice 5.5k each :D) - but reckon if we had to discard it would be an additional 100k for all that.

Overall, a little over 1M coins earned this week! Nuts!
