Hey Glad. Thought you might like the formation :D.

For this last week, yes - just used fitness cards. We've opened quite a bit of packs, so had about 80 squad fitness cards ;D. Quite amazing the difference when you can play with one very strong team - continually. Easier to get consistent performances, but it's just SO boring.

How many games do yoh play before applying a fitness card?

One strong team works better I guess.

After every match pretty much. Rage quits then we only apply the front 6 with individuals. Hate starting a team on anything lower than 97.

I know you effectively use about 25-28k worth of consumables, but it's the one OCD part that I won't change :D.

So ... weekend #4 is done - for us at least. See that it was extended due to "network issues" so either the PS glitch has meant they needed to increase that time, or there were some real connectivity issues overnight (my time).

Kid did well again, with a bit of my help - 1 win in 1 game meant I had a 100% record for the weekend ;) ;D. Kid could only scrape together 30 wins from the other 39 games ... :P

Seriously though, his confidence has increased with the changed play style (possession, close passing) & has meant that a target of 30 wins is quite possibly achievable week-in, week-out.

Interesting thing - 9 straight wins to start & then you seem to get matched with the more ... um ... "effective players". Those that know how to score and then switch to Counter Attack instantly (defense setting = 10!) & then settle for auto tackle. But, kid does break these defenses down & then it's comical to see them react ... like "WTF! We actually need to go score ANOTHER goal!" ;D.

The 30th win (FYI I got the pretty meaningless 31st win :P), also meant Elite 2 on the monthly rewards listing, so we're pretty chuffed with that too. Currently sitting in 12th position on the Rest of World monthly rankings.

Been quiet here :D.

Personally, did not play this weekend at all. Blame Civ 6 for that (awesome, awesome game!) and the kid doing the "Weekend League" thing. He's done well, consistent ... another 31 wins this weekend means he once again gets "Elite 3" - 3 weeks running now.

Ended 13th in the Rest of World rankings for the month of October, and currently 9th for this week/month.

Have been tracking results of games (yeah, what's new). The amount of rage quits is quite significant - which is partly surprising, partly not. So much negative play which means the first goal is crucial - park the bus naturally occurs directly after that. Add a second goal & generally they move on.

But, they don't fight back which is the surprising part. The kid was 1-3 down and won 4-3 - good fightback, so it is achievable - even with 5atb parking the bus. It's damn hard & frustrating, but possible.

FYI ... Rewards for last month (weekly only as monthly has not been received) amounted to close on 550k - coins and sales of higher valued players. Still have plenty rare golds added to the club so all-in-all, very lucrative for 200-odd games.

Rewards even a bit better this week - Kompany and Kante in the 100k pack. Stuns me that the combined cost for these to is around 60k :o. Not complaining, just another year where prices for BPL players are even more inflated.

Pedro, Roncaglia and Vogt were the 3 IF's, so a return of over 230k this week. I can see prices are going to hold their value better than previous years, if a few hundred thousand people keep getting decent rewards every week. Sure your Black Friday, Christmas and TOTY deals will impact that, but I just don't see these very high-end players being smashed by 30-40-50%, like previous years.

actually i was thinking the same, i checked the other day, rakitic cazorla and kroos, whom in past years went down to 5 to 10k bracket during this time of the year. however the coin earnings on weekend league is quite high that people pay high.

in order to buy some decent players, one must play in WL, and reach around a gold tier... i myself lost a final for qualifying it, playing with a mediocre team but the final opponent was, neymar suarez bale up top, james iniesta in mf, ramos and the gang in defence. what surprised me is that, he scored one and then parked the bus, at one certain moment, i passed a long ground ball in the mf, and my winger just running down the flank, i thought i got him on counter, as i saw no one on my screen, but then realized his 4 defenders in his box : )

lost the game, 2 0 but dominated it with possesion passing etc, what is teh fun of playing with those quality players and just spam long balls and ptb - i dunno, but my aim this year will be breaking those down.

i did not take any long shots, which i should have, hit the post twice.

seems the only way to qualify for me is to stay in top divisions.

what is teh trigger point for that div 1 or div 1 and 2? anybody?

Before the change (last week), you could qualify by getting into D1 - promotion or winning. If you were already in D1, by staying in D1 (or better) you'd also qualify.

Not sure if this recent change - which now includes automatic qualification for the next week, for anything getting Gold 1 and better - means that promotion to D2, is no longer good enough. You must win it apparently ... but I'm not sure about this win. Surprisingly we've done well in Seasons recently - consecutive D1 titles.

On the "score and PTB" ... yeah, that's common. The rewards are "just too damn high" ...! Negative play is plentiful.

FYI - kid started his games last night. First was a 5-4 goal fest - opponent was not the best buy somehow stayed in the game. Next 2 - 41 min of play - first guy quit after 3-0 (13') and the next when 2-0 down (28').

Then, next game - kid about to score - 10-odd min in - disconnect from FUT servers & when trying to reconnect, get the "FUT service currently experiencing high volume of traffic" error. Hmmm .... ::)

Ah mate ... congratulations. Welcome to hell!

Honestly, I couldn't survive that. I know the kid gets frustrated (and he's freakin' winning 30+ games a weekend :o).

All I can suggest is take it easy - set a goal of 18 wins (for Gold and auto qualification for next week).

Also ... the one suggestion - kid does it too - go ultra defensive at the start, gauge your opponent and then try & score first! He stays on that even if he's level, or a goal or 2 up. Only goes attacking when he's behind.

Yeah - mate, that's for Elite but all untradeable.

Oh & 2 kits too.

Stupid thing though is that there is nothing else to distinguish Elite 1 from Elite 3 (on Monthly). Kinda sucks ...
