Stopped at 19-13. Could have got Gold 2 but had had enough. Got the extra win as that got me up to Gold for the month.
Gignac and Ben Arfa were so so good together.

Hope the rest went well mate.

I continued with the 2nd account, with the kid chipping in every so often. Managed to get to 18 wins - thankfully. Had about 10 games remaining, but Gold 3 was the aim (qualification). Tough, tough going with the one OK team and a 2nd that would struggle in D3!

On the main account, kid finished 17th for the weekend & currently sitting in 60th for monthly. Still need another good weekend though to confirm it. That's his 1 goal this FIFA - get 1 Top 100 Monthly finish.

Do you notice any differences in type or strength of opponent between the two accounts?

I struggle to get above division 3 and have only won two daily tournaments but can comfortably qualify each week by getting to gold 3 with games to spare. Some of the opponents i face are absolutely terrible. Really don't know how they qualify! Or maybe its that i do well against these terrible guys that do nothing but blind driven passes to to a 90+ pace front three, but they can trouble the sort of player that beats me, contrasting styles and that?

Interesting one ...

The kid qualified first time on #2 quite easily too. Once again, we've had some decent pulls in there - OP - Smalling & Kante to quality - Firmino & Ben Arfa. But, when you're playing Oscar at CAM (4312), you know it's going to be a struggle. One of the worst cards I've used in '17 so far!

IMO, when you start a WL I believe that ELO rating is reset. So, you're playing random players for the first 4-8 games. On #2, we lost against some pretty ordinary players - nothing better or worse than on #1. We were 3-3 so I think at that stage the next few games were against easier opposition, albeit with stacked teams.

I'm not taking any records on this one, but I reckon we won about 7/8 of the next 10 games & then we started getting matched with reasonable opponents. However, nothing to the level that the kid was on #1. I would have easily recognised club names/gamer tags.

So, whilst thinking & typing this up, I would say the competition is a little easier, but it does have to do with 'less consistency' on our part too.

Got two PSV 3rd kits, and the usual Tello and Di Miao who I always get and in the final pack, and IF, in the weekly rewards. Obviously the IF was Westwood though.

With the kid's finish, we were wondering if it would be good to open the packs or wait. A few surprise additions meant it would be 'ok' to open.

Best of the IF's were Icardi, Thiago, Sneijder, Reid and Al Soma. Best of the 100k packs were Hero Guzman (nice addition to the Argie side), Koscielny, Cavani, Lukaku and Gaitan (still 15k for him!). Calc'ed it out to around 480k.

For the 4 weeks of Dec, he's now topped another 2M in returns :o :o :o!

At this rate, I'll never have to buy FIFA points again :D

Games on the main account finished for the weekend - kid finished on 33-7.

He did struggle a bit this week though. Went through a patch where finishing, passing was off. Still got a wins there - even a 6-0 thumping of a past Top 100 ROW player. But it was games # 31 & 32 - 2 losses that hurt.

Overall for the month, sitting on 172 wins - currently 32nd with a day and 90 minutes to go. He's really hoping that it will be a quiet weekend and can remain in the Top 100. Rewards for that are insane!

I couldn't be bothered this weekend. Got to 8 wins and silver 3 and still had 27 games left but already had Gold for the month. Just couldn't  muster up the will for a couple of long sessions against teams with 8 defenders and three sprinters left upfront on get in behind, supplied by blind driven passes.

Problem is i probably won't be able to win the daily tournament to qualify again now! But if I can't, won't be too bothered. I know that I can comfortably get Gold 2 or 3 every week. Before I qualified for the first time, this is what I wanted to find out!

Wonder what three red discard IF's I'll end up getting for the past four weekends of stress!

Yeah mate - said to the kid that with 12 hours to go, we couldn't drop lower than 50. So, when we woke up and were under that ... "the excitement grew!".

It does mean it ticks a box for the kid to finish 100th, then 50th and finally 17th (weekend before last) and now a Top 100 Monthly finish. He's done very well!

Yeah ... that's the challenge, you just don't know what you'll get, and if it will be worth all the stress, week-in week-out.

I just want to make sure there are some usable cards in there!

Managed to qualify for the weekend league again this afternoon by winning the daily tournament with a mixture of six players from Liverpool and five from Benfica. Wanted to use SBC Jonas and he was pretty decent.
Finished the tournament without even conceding which was actually a miracle considering my opponent had 26 shots with 22 on target in the semi final! Somehow won on penalties after Karius gave easily the best performance I've ever had on FIFA ever. The opponent was miles better than me, but it just wasn't going to go in! I managed a few decent chances with a free kick by Henderson hitting the bar being the closest. Was fully expecting abusive messages when Karius made the winning save!

The final was a comfortable 2-0 win thanks to Roberto Firmino and Jonas.

With seven entries left into the tournament, put together a new team to play with:

http://www.futhead.com/17/squads/3643552/

A nice slow team with no pace at all!

First and only game so far was an interesting one. Absolutely tore the opposition apart and he eventually rage quit on 70 minute when the fifth goal went in!
So a nice 5-0 win with 60% possession, 14 shots and 12 on target and just one effort from my opponent. This however was from the centre circle straight from kick off after the 4th goal!
My goal scorers were Pieters, Baston, Mata, Schweinsteiger and Pienaar.
Will see what happens later, but I fully expect to get destroyed at some point!

Good stuff mate - well done.

How do you find Roberto Firmino? I just love that card!

Roberto Firmino is very good. Used him in 30 games so far in 17. Never had him consistenly in the same position or in the same team, but I've seen enough that tell me he is a very good player to use in this game, and I will be using him again 100%.

Second match with the slow team was crazy. Went behind early against a very quick team, but slaughtered him and was winning 5-1 when he rage quit on 80 minutes, seconds after Borja Baston had got his third goal of the game, to add to strikes from Pedro Leon and Juan Mata. Also had 64% possession.

Surely I'll get slaughtered in the semi final? Or maybe not!
