Won the qualifier again for good measure. I'm chomping at the bit for the weekend, like a caged animal

However, come Monday I'll be cursing and licking my wounds

Went into the daily tournament yesterday with my usual mixed bag of players when I am already qualified. In the two teams I made, included Rafa, Danny and Ruben Fereira in one and Raffael in the other because they are the four that need to play ten games for loyalty in the legendary SBC for the 50k pack. The rest of the position were filled with players already in my club, mainly pack pulls and also SBC Smolov getting a first run out.
All four games I played were against obviously weekend league regulars. None of the usual easier games for me yesterday! Got to the semi final but lost a close gane and then won the next first round game.

Just qualified for weekend league for the first time last night, hardly tried it before only maybe 2-3 half hearted attempts, so was pretty pleased to win it last night.  Was expecting the semi next final to be tough but won without too much difficulty, won final 1-0 thanks to my main man togs Aduriz, fitting that he should get the landmark goal.  Should've been more comfortable but main thing was the result.

Looking forward to the riches that participation in this weekend league could bring.  Heard I need to win 18/40 games to get best reward.

Feeling confident though my teams are playing well so bring it on.

Eric, prepare yourself for a whole new level of sweat and frustration. It can be brutal but its everything fut should be. Proper competitive play for us lesser mortals with potentially great reward.  People will do everything to win

It's as much a better of the mind, and making sure you don't start tilting as it is FIFA ability! Also if you play at least the majority of the 40 matches, it is trying to stay alert and finding the will to keep playing at times! There are some really bad players and easy games surprisingly, but win a few in a row and the quality will ramp right up, but as stated above, people will do anything to win.
Just try and take breaks and not play too many in one go! I find that Division is a high standard but the weekend league is more about battling your own head!

I've read other posts saying a similar thing so will keep that in mind.  Went back to seasons last night and just beginning my second season in div 2, not consecutively I should add.  Lost my first 2 by the odd goal, tough teams, 3rd game was hardest team yet, SIF icardi and sbc dybala up front, managed to salvage a deserved late 2-2 draw.  So stopped the rot at least.  Anyway I will see what the weekend brings, does it open on Friday?

Well qualified first go tonight 3-4-2-1 is fast becoming my favorite formation the RM & LM overlap so well while their fullbacks are either forward or covering my attackers so they have so much space, scoring for fun  ;D

Will say have got really good at tracking with my CB's too but will see how it fairs in the WL

The horror show that got me there

Played only two last night, both 1-0 wins where I was outplayed but the predictability of the opponents attacking allowed me to keep them out fairly easily. Teams I faced were completely as expected. 41212(2)'s with Musa and Rashford.

Good lad Buddha

Get plenty of practice in before hand. 3 atb is not common from my experience, but you never know till you throw it into the fire.

Are you going to tweak it up to 5 star?

Got the rewards last night but don't know if I should keep them till the new otw's are out. The TOTW is rather meh, although Kovacic looks a bit tasty. The FA Cup MOTM Squad has some chunky sellable players in, but none that have any playable interest for me.

One question which I hope someone knows, if you auto qualify but keep opening your rewards until the Monday after, do you then qualify for that following weekend league?

In a couple of weeks time I'm away for the weekend so won't be able to play the 40 games.  Wonder also if the rewards expire if you don't claim by the following reward issue?  too risky to test

Ok, so temptation got the better of me, and opened the packs

Only Aguero pops up in the last pack  ;D

Another awesome weekend rewards.  300k+ in packs plus 30k coins, and another chance to do it all again tomorrow  8)

Good stuff Simmo! At times like that, you do think the WL has benefits when being rewarded like that.

Re: your question re: the following week - don't know. I would imagine it's qualification for the following week (expires as you say) so you would need to qualify if you're not successful with the limited games. What I would recommend, is that if you are in D1/D2, hold those games back so holding D1 or promotion to D1 gets you in. Probably easier than going through qualification tournaments - well, depends on requirements if you breezed through them this week.

Oh ... and I don't have patience but the kid does, packs not opened.

Does mean on the First Owners club the packs were opened - sweet freakin' nothing. The Rare Players pack had 5 GK's! We don't need keepers on that account! LOL
