Hey guys, so first weekend league has been reasonably good to me.  Just made gold 2 pretty pleased with that for first attempt.  Changing between my bpl team and la liga both going well.  I've actually not found it too sweaty although just about every team has martial.   Faced lot of strong teams too but not as strong as what I had been seeing in div 2, guess it's just your luck. 

Had to contend with lag on Saturday hasnt seemed so bad today.  So have had fun along the way with fluffing a deciding penalty when it lagged during my run up, also had to adapt to those short bursts of leaf where the gameplay hits fast forward, seems to have affected me more than opponents haven't noticed them running ball out of play for no reason. 

Just called time there, 22 wins with 3 games left.  Well 3 packs sounds better than 1 anyway lol.  Blew a 2 goal lead in my last game to lose 3-2, opponent had shevchenko bale and other big names so no shame there.  Lag kicked in though and I think I could've held my lead had it been a normal game.

Damn! Well done Eric - especially with alternating teams.

Heard about the fast forward lag thing - not had that thankfully. Think the Europe servers take a bit hit and that happens.

Rewards will only be late Wed night your time (normally around Thursday noon NZ time).

Made gold 3 had a shocker of a day quit the first 4 games that lag Eric was talking about or just total BS sluggishness if it was a friday or Saturday i would have left it right there players not running, ST on get in behind but baffling me by deciding to run back to fill in for the CM that had the ball WTF.

Was 1-11 at one stage couldn't believe it switched to 5-2-2-1 to get the full backs back to 10 chem and switched to Ultra attacking as KO worked well getting a 4 win streak lost the next to leave me on 17-19 then won 4-0 to a RQ thought about playing the remaining 3 games to reach gold 2 but no that will do.

With the lag today found myself being less composed than yesterday quite a bit of shouting  ::) think this was my downfall running players out of position. On that what i like to call PES 08 lag (as thats the last game i remember having it in) had it really bad in a 5 games so much so the games disconnected 4 of which i was winning should really get the win in these.

Didn't see Ronny, Messi or any top Legends all weekend.

Well ... was a struggle but played on the First Owners - absolutely hate the team! - and got to Gold 3 with the kid taking over the last 2 games.

Not sure I can continue using First Owners only!

Agreed.

Not to sound like the conspiracy theorist here, but I have  the feeling that it's impacting on initial TOTW pack sales with FP. Hardly anyone is buying until they get their weekly rewards - which floods the market with IF's - which people buy with coins, earned from the rewards/high value cards pulled.

Make it a day later, and the 12 yo doesn't want to wait and sponges another $50 from the parent's credit card.

So after a weekend of feeling worse and worse with a virus as the hours went by, I only played 16 games, ending with 9 wins.
Yesterday and today, I've felt a bit better, but with the worst cough going and nose bleeds today at random. Have managed to reach the daily tournament final three times so far, but have lost them all. The absolute state of the goals I've conceded in these final is absolutely laughable! The last final earlier on, lost on penalties. Getting no luck at all at the moment!

Probably won't make it to the weekend league at this rate, but to be honest that isn't probably really isn't a bad thing.

I certainly can appreciate that last sentence. Monday was a holiday (WL ends 8 PM our time) and the only reason I can think of why I continued to try qualify on the 2nd account, was to "prove I can". Stupid - I know.

Tried the tournament again and got to my 4th final of the week!
The opponent had a crazy team, about 6 sbc cards and the rest IF's!
What followed defied logic!

I had shot after shot after shot after shot. Chance after chance. His tactic was just blindly smash driven passes at IF Gray and hope for the best.
I ended up witnessing IF Schmeichel make more saves than I've ever seen him make ever, all in the space of 15 minutes. Some of the saves were crazy. Couldn't believe what I was seeing. Also hit the post four times!

If I hadn't won the penalty shootout there would have been something in bits somewhere in my house i swear! Weekend League again......
