Finished up on 16-24

Bollocks. Had 14 games to go at the start of the day and after 3 quick rage quit wins came the disconnect. At the opposition squad screen freeze for 2-3 mins, then the dc message  >:(

After that, the form just flipped. Got it down to the last 4 games which I needed to win. Won game 1. Game 2, up 2-0. Get the usual "a 2 goal lead is a dangerous one" and what do you know 2-2 in the 90th. 3-3 aet, lost 5-4 on pens

On the plus side the revised team is good and feels like it has a good balance. Q school again

God, that was a grind this week. Gold 3 after winning 5 out of 6 to get me 18-18.
Went 4-1 in my evening session tonight. Felt like I was playing my best FIFA for a long while. Didn't help that I spent around 25 games playing completely tilted. So another weekend of just requalifying. Hopefully my rewards are similar to they were on Thursday!

For once I had pretty good server experiences. No dc's and gameplay wasn't delayed or lagging. Looking back I could easily have got higher, but the BS made me lose my head for the middle 25 games. Never going to play well when tilted, even whilst winning. My first five games and final six put together was 9-2, the middle twentyfive 9-16! So many bad players that I was giving free, stupid goals.

Although after saying this, the general pattern of results more often than not is good start and finish, terrible middle judging by the posts on the forums.

Relax time now and SBC time..

Start the day needing 2 wins from 8 to reach 18.  Not started well.

First game was full of BS both have been actually.  Started well and went a goal up and thought this guy isn't very good should be a comfortable win.  Nope his team transformed and after which I couldn't do anything, was ridiculous.  Lost 2-1 and to top it off had a blatant pen denied, shot saved and def wipes out Thiago before he can tap in.

Second match more of the same, goals in that one were farcical.  I put joypad down when it went 3-1 late on.  The saves his butland made were ridiculous, numerous saves he had no right to make.

So hope this isn't trend for night, I only need 2 wins  ::)

Well done TWS.

Unlucky Simmo ... Q school for us (both accounts) too. May not even bother, if truth be told. Suffering from a wee bit of FUT-fatigue. Thoroughly enjoyed the predominantly Civ 6 weekend. Boy, it does engross you!

Good luck Eric!

3rd match and I've chalked off a win with a 4-0 victory for serie A side.  Funnily enough it was against a very strong team on paper  ??? After losing to two crappy op bpl sides.  Yep Fifa still being Fifa all these years on.

I actually started last game thinking fingers crossed the game will favour me this time so I can win.  Not let's focus and really play well.

One last thing, I've had loads of injuries this weekend.  SIF perisic is injured every other game and not been uncommon to finish a match with 2 injuries.  Easier to cope with having 2 main teams but don't like forced rotation lol

Got 18th win with 2 to spare.  Don't take much satisfaction from it the feeling is the games a load of crap and doesn't really matter what team it's the usual rollercoaster of BS.  Won't bother with last 2 games had enough for one weekend.

Stopped on 11 wins and boy was that a struggle, was flying but then hit button delay of about 5 seconds and it didn't go away, so 11-21 is how i finished some classic crap recorded

A lot of the results we know heavily depend on the connection rather than any perceived skill we might have (kiwi jnr aside  ;) ) which is totally wrong. The problem we have in the EU region is finding those 'best times' to play.

I know from previous that Fridays tend to be poor (outside of work hours anyway) and from this weekend Saturday & Sunday am and the 6pm through 9pm slots are poor. That leaves mid afternoon and late night/early morning Sat & Sun. How on earth do you get 40 games in, in that timeframe??

Yeah Simmo - definitely agree re: timing.

Here, it finishes 8PM Monday NZ /6PM Australia (East Cost). Leading up to that time, people are storming through games. I realised the kid needed to get to 18 wins so that qualification is not necessary to get the last 15 wins this coming weekend - all for Elite Monthly. Below is the last 10 games he played ... with comments:
• First game going into ET after he was 0-2 down but he decided to keep playing. Guy quit when the 4th was scored
• He quit one at 67 min after conceding a 2nd.
• #20 went to penalties
• Only 2 others went full time

Think it 2 hours of real time & <600 "game minutes" to get the 10 games done. Interestingly I do think others actually wait for these last 4-6 hours & get a goal or 2, then wait for the opponent to quit. Literally most people will pause if they go 2 goals up - expecting the opponent to quit.

Don't know why i bother but qualified again, really wish it was a level playing field in regards to connection, lost one semi on my first go while 3-0 up he pauses and after that 3-5 second lag really notice it when you do the fake shot stop player stands there for 2-3 seconds shaking then the buttons register and boom it's either a shot for halfway or you're tackled.

Yup, definitely something up with the pause thing. Definite noticeable game speed change after some pauses.

Used a few turns with a cobbled together squad of Portuguese, serie A & MLS but fell short in a couple of semi's and for the first time I'm kinda not bothered  :P

That's interesting kiwi you definitely get more quitters on a Sunday evening, I do it as well occasionally although not as bad as some, won't ever quit at just one goal down.  Played a game of seasons last night and guy quit 2-0 down after like 15 mins lol.

In div 4 currently  ::) as low as I tend to go these days, and usually cruise it when in it.  The 2 games after that felt like a stroll but managed to blow 2 goal lead in first one and second one I was 2-1 up, went 3-2 down with nonsense goals and salvaged a late draw.  My feeling was I got complacent and the game favoured my opponents which cost me.  Let my guard down basically.

Finally got couple new signings today.  Got tif Gomez for 157 and insigne for 180 a good 30k less than last nights prices.  Will try them out shortly and report back.

Chucked together one of my old school Gold Cup teams c.2014-2016 (RIP), a Russian League, Championship, Swiss League hybrid. IF Dzagoev who I picked up a week or so ago at CAM, behind SBC Smolov. Smolov is one of those that I just can't get to work whenever I use him though.
Won the tournament with 3-0, 3-0, 2-1 and a penalty shoot out victory after a 1-1 in the final. That match though was horrendous. A 5atb Serie A team that was about three years out of date with playstyle. Constant lob through balls at Dybala and a subbed on at kickoff Giovinco. How I didn't win without penalties I don't know. He scored his one lucky chance after a couple of rebounded tackles in the 45th minute (what a surprise) to get level and shot after shot from me was saved or hit the post the rest of the game. Right result in the end.
