Kid started his games - 5 wins last night. First game today - XBL disconnect whilst 3-0 up. Laughable.

... almost 2 hours later now, I play the first one - disconnect when a goal up.

Great!

Another 2 losses after the disconnect .., left me at 3-5 and not feeling good. Sold Salah.

Managed to get onto a decent run after that (6-1) for an interim 9-6 record. Kid then played a bunch (won them all, the sod).

I left it a while and went back on late last night. A completely different story. The ludicrous button delay was gone and it seemed quite smooth. Managed to turn 0-3 into 3-4. Last game sums up this mode really. Guy had a 41212(2) with 8 red cards, an SBC, an IF all in correct position, and........... Musa! Took great delight winning that one! Either he'd got very lucky and got all the exact right players to fit the team or more likely, he was an elite level player. Was absolutely terrible though. Only way he could score was from pretty much undefendable near post corners. The game had it perfected. Luckily he only got two corners and I got four goals with SBC Lewandowski doing some serious damage.

" ... Musa". Damn! Stuns me that there are SO many really good cards on this game, yet idiots choose to use the likes of that card.

Repetitiveness is the killer in this game - from team to game play (the continuous spamming of through balls to an Auba-matwat or similar).

Finished on 13-6 ...  Given I was 3-5 at one point, I'l certainly take that!

Didn't play last week, so to get Gold 3 for monthly, will need to have an average 22/23 wins for the next 3 weeks. Hope to average 50% wins in the 20-odd games - would be great to do that!

Very doubtful I'll have enough time this weekend to get Gold 3 unless I go on a decent winning run and do it in 30 games or so.
The state of the gameplay in the weekend league though is getting worse and worse. The vast majority of games is the opponent camped deep and when they get the ball just smash it forward asap to their front three, all of who are small and kick (or Martial who is stronger but still quick), Vardy, Musa, Mane or whatever and try and through ball or run to the byline and cut back . Just gets so boring really quickly. There is no buildup play at all from my opponents.
In recent weeks, when it becomes obvious that this is their strategy, I've just started moving my back line back from my standard 47 to 20-30, defending on how fast or reliant they are on this. If they are really bad, this normally kills them stone dead.

5-5.

2 comfortable wins, then the flip. 2 defeats. First one thoroughly outplayed, no arguments. 2nd, usual bs. Ridiculous og (triple deflection - shot going way wide, 1st defection took it closer, 2nd a bit more and lastly the keeper pushed it in for good measure) set the tone.

Just dont know how the good players beat the bs. The total helplessness we all feel just doesn't affect them. I could play this game for another 10 years and I know for a fact that 40-0 will never happen

BS not too bad so far tonight. Only halfway to Gold so plenty of time I guess! Has anyone tried MotM Stindl? Him at CAM, behind SBC Lewandoski is causing serious damage! Could have hit upon my favourite team so far on 17. Ask me again this time tomorrow though.....

8-8. Just can't seem to get more than 2 ahead. Connection has been spot on though in the last 4 games

Finished 9-11

Lost the last 3. Should've stopped at 9-9 as I felt the game play changing but wanted to get to the halfway point. Grrr

had a stinker yesterday 3-7

Brought it back to 10-9 tonight after everyone went to bed  ;D

lost the first to some typical 90th min goal against a loaded team, next 3 lasted a total of 48 in game mins 3 RQ was nice but continued the wins to get it back to positive, hoping tomorrow night plays as well.
