Had my best week for a while. The change back to 4231 from 4231(2) has been successful. Felt like I was playing decent stuff the first couple of days despite being 11-10 at the start of the day. Won a couple earlier on when I had a bit of time, but the worst part was the start of this evening. Four games in a row went to penalties. In that time I scored one and conceded one. It was absolutely ridiculous. Every single opponent was camped in their box and hitting hopeful spammed through ball. I had over 40 shots and managed to score once! Without trying to sound like I'm over exaggerating, probably 30 plus were blocked by one of the mass ranks of defenders. Managed two wins and two losses from those, but them got three quick rage quits in the space of ten real life minutes.
Currently am 21-17, at Gold 2, and not wanting to play anymore. Should try and get a win or two for an easier weekend next week monthlies wise, as I am out in town watching the boxing and will more than likely end up in carnage so don't know what I'll be like on Sunday! Need 9 wins for Gold 3 and 15 for Gold 2.

Am actually pleased with how its gone this weekend, little rage and a renewed optimism that I could maybe crack gold 1 one week.
For some reason 4231 feels slightly better defensively against the counter attackers (so almost every game) than the 4231(2).
Also one team massively outperformed the other so if I could another team to play like the full Bundesliga special card team I have been using this weekend then who knows what might happen?

Right ... 18 wins on #2 ... with 11 games to spare. Best WL by a mile for me.

Bale ... sublime - carried the team!

Well, I am completely shattered. 79 games done for the WL :o :o :o

22-18 on main a/c and 24-15 on 2nd a/c. Ran out of time to finish the last game - guy just didn't want to quit.

Must add that it's not full games played. Last 10 games on main - 6 rage quits in all (me = 4 as by then I was already done).

On 2nd account, missed Gold 1 by the 1 game. Again, it was "quitting with ease" in the last 30-odd minutes. Unfortunately I screwed by - let a 3-0 lead slip and went into ET. I wish he'd have quit as I would have then at least got a chance to play the final game.

I can't even imagine how hard it must be to play 79 games in a weekend of mostly people not trying to play and smashing through balls on the counter!

Yeah, can't think - even as a 'young person' - of playing that on a regular basis. Heard that there are quite a bit of people that actually play WL on both consoles.

Pure nuts to put yourself through that, week-in week-out.

Yesterday was a joke. Could barely score a goal and seemed to concede with every shot. After a fairly smooth weekend league BS wise, I got it all back yesterday. The goals I was conceding were absolutely ridiculous. Goal after goal of random bounces and tackles just going straight back to opponents.

Think I got past the second round twice in the eight attempts!

Managed to get the win I needed though to make it to Division 1 for the first time, so there was one positive. Have two games left to get the one win required for the Division 2 title.

Given the regular tales of woe I'm impressed by those of you that qualify and play in the champions cup but to play 79 games is truly amazing. I've only just gone past a total of 200 games played and have only tried once to qualify. I've plodded my way up to division 3 and I think it's probably as far as I'm going to go as the standard has taken what appears to be a pretty big jump from div 4.

Yea that many games would have me back on the smokes  :D

Sherlock the qualifiers have got a lot easier  of late and TBH i go between Div 3-4 so i'm sure you would do well in the WL, although there are some weekends/sessions i just want to give up.

LOL ... finally recovering. Tried a few games last night after the 2+ days off. Firstly, maintenance ... but only for 20-odd minutes - catching the end only.

Kid had saved his 2x TOTW packs. First was a walkout, but no purple ... Benteke (180k) and Balde (142k) and Ganso. 2nd had Jarstein, Giminex and Balde again (all 85-rated :o). Missed all 5 81-rated IF's this time round. Pleasant one.

530k return - that was really handy with all the recent price drops.

That Gimenez is surprisingly cheap. I've checked myself and he basically means you can do the A.Madrid SBC for Suarez without the need for Griezmann or any overly expensive IF's such as Torres, Gamiero or Carrasco.

Ah ... clever one. Most are looking at it as an RB and forgetting about the SBC!

I have one game left in the last attempt at the qualifiers....... death or glory

Or in the case of weekend league...... death or misery  8)

Have lost, over the 2 qualifiers, 6 finals.  Lets not make it 7

Made it 7  :'(

Should've won comfortably. Hit the post/bar 4 times and missed one clear 1v1. Went down 2-1

No WL for me
