Thanks mate. Yes, all goo.d We're further north, but my daughter was away in Taupo (middle North Island), and could feel the tremors during the night.

Missus always jokes to people we live in paradise - which NZ is ... mostly. Just those few natural bits that can kill you - earthquakes and the big volcano a few miles away :D.

Some serious damage though ... damn!

Very few posts as I haven't played ut that much this season, been mainly playing single games of normal FIFA. I have been doing the sbc and I think they are a master stroke, really enjoyed putting the teams together and allows me to open far more packs than I usually do. Finally pulled my first decent player and my first legend ever when up popped Van Nistelrooy, did think about selling but for the moment I think I'll hang on to him.

Don't agree with removing normal cups on a weekend, it's the only time I play ut so it's either single games or league games. I have no issue with others qualifying and playing in the weekend games but they should also have the cups for the rest of us to play. Well done kiwi and son for the prizes you have picked up. Bronzes have been struggling for the last few years but this change has completely killed them, and silvers for that matter, real shame as they could have done all sorts of things like bronze leagues only.

Hey Sherlock. Thanks - kid has done well and it's rewarding, won't lie. Feels good though, as over the years it's been thousands of games (bar '14) and at times you walk away with 50+ D1 titles (in '16) - but that doesn't really count for a major amount.

Valid points all round ...
• SBC has been a great addition.
• FUT Champions Cup has overall been a success - but there are definitely areas that can be improved on, as you say. Decent start for a "1.0 product".
• Bronzes & Silvers (more on the silvers side for me) ... pretty sad!

It is a shame about the lack of cups and the complete death of silvers and golds in matches (way more relevant in SBC's). Not qualifying for the weekend league so far has meant nothing but grinding in seasons when I've been able to play at weekends. How I've missed making my teams for the Gold Cup.
Making do with making teams around the discard IF's. Currently using IF Sule and IF Vogt in one team, who are an amazing perfect link together if you need one. Also using IF Lisandro Lopez (the CB) in another. Very impressed with all three. IF Al Soma and IF Carlos Eduardo are also very good.
Have a few others waiting to make an appearance. Have heard very good thing about the Italian striker from his week, IF Perotti (I think), the Torino guy.
But yeah, miss the Gold Cup!

EA killed bronze and silver that is clear. There is probably no money in it

I haven't played cups to qualify, way too sweaty for me.

Hey Guys,

Been a while.. So after 2 years of battling a destiny addiction and the birth of our first child later, I have returned to the world of FIFA!

Have to say I've missed it and now it seems more addictive than ever.

Hope all of you have been keeping well?

It took me a while to find this place as it popped Into my head over the weekend whilst browsing the leader boards for Fut champions and seeing Koolkiwi on 36 wins!! Holy hell man that's seriously impressive.

Hey Benny! Congrats on the little one. Welcome back.

FUT '17 has been a bit of a revelation (IMO at least) with the various additions. It obviously helps doing well at stages & club has grown significantly with the rewards.

Well, I won't take the credit for the Weekend League - the kid is the one that's been playing. I played in the first one, alternating with him and it took all of 8/10 games for me "not to suffer fools". Most of the opposition were such "try-hards", I moved on and he gladly plays it. Blood pressure saved too!

I pretty much watch every game next to him (whilst on PC with Civ 6 for instance) so there for the "moral support ;D. Or, more like manager on the sidelines - give him guidance on what I see and calm him down sometimes too :D.

Look forward to hearing your comments on '17 after you've gotten into it.

Oh I hear you on the blood pressure side of things. FUT champions is seriously intense. Every game feels like a high stakes tournament final. Not quite sure it's good for my health.

Will have to start my little one early and hope she can get me in the top 100 in a few years  ;)

36 wins is honestly up there with the pros!

Have to say I'm loving the game. The Sbcs have really spiced things up and is great for the trading side of thing's.

I really enjoy the game play although I struggled massively for my first 100 or so games. But then it's not surprising after barely playing the last 2 iterations.

Have consistently been qualifying for FUT champions but only managing to play 10-20 games per weekend. Manged to get 20 wins with 7 games left a few weeks back but time restrictions see me normally only make silver 2/1.

Have been struggling to find a formation to work consistently for me but can't seem to settle although I keep going back to the 4321 so I'm going to try to stick with that.

Team wise I've mainly been stuck in the Bpl and serie A and have now settled on a mixture of the 2 that seems to play perfectly. Can't quite remember how to embed images so I'll just link it for now.
