Didn't play at all during the day today. Just got on and decided to see what D4 would be like. However, I stupidly decided to upgrade players beforehand. Did not realise that the upgrade on the keeper would take 45 min . Not impressed.

Also, I see that the points required for 'spirit' have increased to 8 k now. Ok then. Managed to get 7 - not bad to my opponent's 3 and playing at an upgraded home stadium (16k capacity), I thought I had a chance. Nope - lost 1-3. Still, first game of the season ...

Decided to practice and play another quickly - opponent is Genova - they were promoted with me. At home again and spirit was 6 vs his 1 thus looking for a good performance. Missed a cross dismally, but found some form to win 3-1 with a pretty poor miss from my side - would've been nice to get the 4th.

Was happy to win but think that the opponent was weak in comparison to the first one. I can definitely start to see that in app purchases will have to be made to do a lot better. One thing that will frustrate me will be the time taken for the higher end upgrades to the players ... 45 min is just way too long IMO. And this is around that 40% of the attribute done.

Without speeding that up  it will be like playing one game, maybe 2 per day!
