think the card concept of Heartstone could work with FUT too.

Basicly you have fivetypes of cards: free (you get them in your starters pack and these are soul bound , e.g. non discardable), common, rare, epic and legendary. You can get cards by spending real $ on packs, by spending coins which you can earn throughout playing, or crafting.

every card cost the same in a certain category. If you discard a card you get Arcane Dustr which you can use crafting a card that you are missing in your deck. However, it is very unfavorable conversion rate. You get 5 dust for a common card which in itself cost 40, so you have to be careful and think twice.

You earn coins by playing the ladder (3 victories for 10 gold), playing challenges (get 2 wins with the Mage for instance => 40 coins) and playing the Arena. With the last one you also get dust. However you have to pay 150 Gold upfront.

There is NO Trade market...

In my view this could well be transfered to FUT by putting a fixed 'crafting' amount per player (Messi, Robben, Ronaldo high amount and a bronze a low amount). Earning coins could be toned down a bit, no need to over do it. You can still buy packs with real $ but no market. Legendary cards can be made very rare.

Am likely to pick up a ps4 myself today & am looking at the Far Cry, Last of Us & Drive Club bundle

Last of Us looks really good & got outstanding reviews & for reasons I can't quite put my finger on although GTA tips the review chart I just don't see myself playing it but think I would play Far Cry

Don't know about drive club either - basically I'm just getting a ps4 in the sale for PGA15 which comes out in March/April time  :D

Far Cry 4 is very good. Takes a bit of getting used to all the controls and stuff. It was exactly the same for Far Cry 3, took ages to get fully used to but well worth the early struggles! Started FC4 when PSN was down, so haven't played much yet. Even playing FC 3 previously, it was still a bit of a struggle early on, but is obvious to me that it will be stunning as it goes on. Just hope there aren't too many missions that try to be too clever for there own good as in 3.
Last of Us I have but am yet to play.
GTA5 is well worth it. Having already played the story on PS3, I don't really have any motivation to do it again. The offline GTA is really getting old for me. Still the same thing as the last 4 games really but with better graphics. The online is incredible though and worth the price alone. Rockstar have constantly evolved it since release and added more and more and improved and ironed out exploits and glitches. Idiots also get bunched together in their own lobby which helps. The online creator means there are always new races and tracks being made and put out, plus it helps to be friends with Cuz and his brother who have created some excellent, diverse races and tracks, that use all the different types of vehicle (not just super cars or sports cars) and they belong to a crew that actively promotes fair play. Being friends means that I get invited into their races and they are very good fun, although 90% of the time I am in the back quarter of the field! If you can borrow a copy or rent one for a week or something it might be worth giving it a try.

Good Luck!

Well I picked up just the ps4 from Argos at £279
Will buy The Last of Us Remastered to keep me going until PGA15 comes around & maybe try to search the Internet for some pro clubs forums to get involved at Fifa 16

tried the beta of BF Hardline; I am not overly excited about it. The heist mdoe feels like a COD game (and that is not a good thing  ::)) the famous conquest mode is there but everyhting feels....so off...

My son and I were dominating the carts very quickly but it didn't gave us any satisfaction...you cannot destry walls and find you own way in. Pity.

played the beta of BF Hardline an extra day, got nmore into it. Think I will buy this one anyway. SP could be fun and the robbery mode is packed with action. Are you still buying the game Otu?

am thinking to, i mean i was until i saw your initial comments : ) i want BF to stay as BF , not some greedy EA exec wanting more money and so shapeshifting game into a COD. how do you see it now? after another day and is it promising?

not sure yet, I am playing a lot BF4 lately and I fear that after 2 months most will return from hardline to bf4 again. It si just too COD like for my taste. Most of my friends 9almost all) have choosen to go for borderline. So no, I am not buying in the end
