Been playing a fair bit on the new PGA Golf game and the courses, graphics and gameplay are great, however ea appear to have forgotten that golf is a game of statistics. Apart from a few bits in the career mode the game doesn't appear to store any stats at all, very very poor. The other major issue is the only way to improve your golfer is by playing the tour, single rounds, online play and challenges have no impact on your created golfer, no idea how they thought this was a good idea, absolutely shocking design. When you do play the tour you can't decide which stats to increase, it's all pre calculated and bears no relationship to the round you just played, put well and shot shaping increases, hit every fairway and the short game gets better, obviously the game has been created by non golfers.

It's a real shame that these omissions and errors spoil what could have been a great game, as it is it's just a good one.i can only think that it's a completely new team that have not bothered to look at previous incarnations, and have Never actually played golf.

It's a shame that I hear so many bad things about this game every year. Absolutely loved Tiger Woods 2004 on the PS2. Maxed up my pro, did everything to be done and had some great multiplayer sessions with friends. Have never played another version since. It sounds like it has gone downhill since then.

Yeah - kinda thinking there's some dodgy stuff there. Watched the first few & then skipped to the times when the ball sailed straight into cup, hole after hole.

On 17 & 18, the trajectory looks weird in the last few moments. I call BS.

Skipped playing FIFA these last few nights & concentrating on Star Citizen. Playing what they call 'Vanduul Swarm' - effectively dog fighting in the 'Arena Commander' module.

This is one damn good looking game! Not easy at all, either! 15 'waves' - difficulty increasing each time & we're only at the level 5. Must add that we're playing with a joystick which makes it a little harder than mouse+keyboard. But, there's just no fun flying a plane without a joystick :D.

looking foward to a couple of games this fall/winter. For me it should start with MGSbut I have decided first to finish off some games I have lying around. So apart from FIFA16 I will buy AC and STAR WARS!!! yeah really looking forward to that game! Until Dawn is another one I keep a close eye on....

Still need to play Far Cry 4, so probably going to pick soem older games to fill in the gaps....Still need to finish DriveClub (impossible   ;D), Game of Thrones (episode 5 is released), Games from the Borderlands (need to start this one), SP of BF Hardline and the Witcher....

Are you guys planning on buying some othe rgames than FIFA?

Kid has mentioned Metal Gear Solid V - The Phantom Pain. Initially he was debating whether to get it, then checked IGN - got a 10 rating! Only GTA V and Last of Us have ever received that rating before.

That sounds great then. Think he might be wanting to try something like that.

On another note - tried the PES demo the other night. Looks a little better in some ways and still some 'cartoon-ish' animations at time (Neuer's throwing is quite comical).

I can see in some ways that there is more depth in team setup/tactics/strategies. Loved the fact that I could take a Ribery - rated 89 at LW, to an attacking CAM (even wide) and he went to 90 rated. Likewise, moving Schweiny slightly wider - almost to an LM spot, did not change his rating whatsoever. Could quite easily spend an hour configuring your setup :). I do like very, very much!

Overall, another season of FIFA it will be. The on-pitch animations and annoying replays (need to push start button 3 times to get past it), together with the fact that a player - when on the floor - will always have his arm/head/leg buried in the ground. Bit poor on that front - they should do better. The other annoying factor - probably our settings - was the fact that we scored every with real attempt at goal. It's not bad, but still has a way to go, to lodge me from being pro-FIFA.

@ MGS"be ready then for some sick humor along the way. Really the head developer is a crazy Japanese guy. For instance you can hide against guards by using a card box (it is in your inventory) and you can even walk with it. Some hilarious moments when you see yourself as a card boxe moving around in the map

@ PES; I haven't tried but thanks for the review. Already ordered FIFA anyway

Been playing Dragon Age the last week or so, not great but not bad either can't complain when it free on EA access

I dabbled with Dragon Age inquisition for a while, quite enjoyed it.  Done with it now though.  Was kinda annoying not knowing how to craft new weapons and armours or find runes to use in that process.   If i had figured that out i may have kept going with it.  Seemed a vast game.
