Yeah Eric, I was surprised myself.
I had a look back at stats y'day when I saw that and seems like City players struggled to 'perform consistently'. Obviously they were able to pull through and get the results, unlike Utd.
I know we don't work in 'ifs' ... Here's my frustration with Utd ...
• Utd lost 5 times, Chelsea 5 and Spurs 4
• Home records for Chelsea & Spurs was impressive - 2 draws for Spurs, 0 for Chelsea. United had 10!
• If United had scored 9 more goals at home - would equal the average between Chelsea & Spurs for home draws - 18 points & Utd are above Spurs.
I know it's big 'ifs', but I guess it highlights that there were some constant performers for Utd, but at times they simply did not get the results. They just had a horrible season when it came to the front line - consistency, fitness issues, etc.
