I do like that one - kid passed and milliseconds before he got the ball, I noticed Neuer move forward. It was basically a quick, hard finesse and it looks like he hits the ball slightly different.

Movie Maker - damn! Have not used that in years ... off he runs to download the latest version. I did like the fast forward/slowing down that you did - just some of those basic items that are missing in Upload Studio. And agreed - they are light years behind as you say.

Be nice if you could transition the speed changes, they feel a bit sudden to me. Technically you could, since you can type in the multiplier down to fractions but you'd be basically simulating a speed up/slow down with a ton of tiny separate clips, something I cannot be bothered to try :D
It's a good basic editor but when you get into fancier stuff, like transitions, effects, subtitles, it's pretty rubbish. I really try to keep it simple and go for a classier sort of look, once you start getting arty, you end up looking very cheap and generic with it. Mate of mine did fishing videos with it for a little while, he'd say you can tell in a split second when other people in his genre were on Movie Maker, you recognise the effects and transitions straight away, lol. There's quite a few wipe transitions and they all look terrible. I did use one on this GTA vid, for cheesy comic effect tho, hehe. It's right near the start so you don't have to watch the whole 25min... You'll spot it straight away, it sums up MMs wider options perfectly...
(actually lots of speed ups later on, timed beautifully to the music :D)

LOL ... some of the footage in there is hilarious (the car park around the 3 min mark). Like the movement too whilst walking around. All those small things, make it a better video & agree with you, rather than overusing transitions/effects/etc, the video stays more classy.

I remembered now that I used Sony Vegas as the tool. Was quite powerful what you could do with it, but there's definitely that line with how anal you get on micro-editing.

But then ... how OCD always kicks in ... hey! :D

That kind of OCD can be good on these ;)
Hours spent timing a split second thing make all the difference. The FIFA one only took me a couple evenings but some of the earlier GTA ones took me weeks. 0.05 seconds out and I'd be 'nope', lol.... It can be out by 0.05 or 1 whole second and it's hard to tell the difference but get it right on point and it just goes zing!

Lost to my Brother Gills last night then, grrr. I woz robbed.

Also saved the vid from my one of my worst ever defeats. It's not the scoreline, it's that this guy was awful. The only thing more awful was my team. This is after losing the previous 4 games I think, so I probably didn't do myself any favours. Theme of the match is set straight away when the kick off routine I do successfully every single game, fails to come off. After that, it's continuous baffling pass selection, an inability to defend in any useful fashion and an utter lack of effectiveness in attack.
This was exactly what 3 of my 6 games were like last night. 2 others, the defence worked okay but I still majorly lacked attacking bite, tho it wasn't quite so bad against Gills. The 6th ofc, I dropped Chiellini and clicked into gear.

Personal highlight is around the 9-10min mark. His incredible brilliance at riding tackles and following his comical 2nd goal, Nainggolans pure genius at avoiding passes directly to him.

Proper quality goals there BB. Got me tempted to put him in a team...

On the other side of the coin, I saved a couple classics last night.

This game I won, thankfully. He only had a couple attempts on goal, this wasn't one of them.

This game I did not win, all the blame goes here, seconds after I'd taken the lead... It literally made me laugh out loud and completely threw my concentration from then on, sporadically giggling to myself and shaking my head.

My controller would be in bits if that happened.

On Van Persie gotta love Tyler shouting his name every time he shoots  ;D

This team came up in the TOTY final I played last night that was probably the strongest I've faced on 16. I thought, I'll tape this (because all the SHA/HUN amused me as well), and hit share. Pressed it again after the game to save and then, when I went to upload it, it turned out I'd saved the end of the previous game and the team screen from the final instead. Bit weird but hey, it was a boring game anyway. The 2nd half of the semi was much more interesting.
So here we are, 45min of me being awesome against a shabby 5atb user in a TOTY semi final, followed by a look at the team I played after. Skip to the end to see it :D

Included, at 3.50, is an interesting hospital foul on Banega that obviously goes unpunished because it injures the untouched Palacio instead of the very touched Banega, laying in a heap on the floor.

Cuz ... could not make sense of what you were saying. Watched it a third time and then realised it! WTF!

Nice one BB - exactly what you want him there for - power headers! Also, I did feel his strength was a great asset.
