Watching E3 tonight and think it looks stunning, some great looking games.  As usual I'm sure this may divide opinion but I for one am pretty hyped for this now.  Graphics are amazing - metro looks a must have, assassins creed too despite never really having being into that series.   The new lord of the rings one does too and the one that's on now Anthem looks to have potential as well.  Not even a mention of FIFA 18 either thankfully ☺️

Yeah - watched some, not all. Forza looked incredible & had some cool additions (e.g. dynamic weather).

Honestly, I've thrown the bath water, the baby - pretty much the cot too - out. No more FIFA for me - need to fill it with others. Simply done with it. Even played DIRT   4 on PC (using XB1 controller) and loved it. Great looking too.

The kid is trying to line me up with various games too ;D.

On Anthem ... watched that a few times to visually take it in. Looked quite incredible.

But ... will it be delivered like that, on time? Certainly hope so!

All things looked amazing - Anthem the stand out for me, but proof will be in the pudding.

Haven't got a 4k TV, so will be a big outlay. Have requested the console as a joint Xmas / birthday gift. Will then hand down the xb1 to the eldest. The TV can wait for the time being.

Still on the fence on getting FIFA 18. Tired of throwing money away at this game for what will be a minor upgrade. Its at the polishing of the bells and whistles stage and only fut champs would interest me. The son is enjoying FIFA 13 on the 360 at the moment. Forgot how stacked my teams were on there. Damn those morale cards 😆

I got a 4K tv last xmas, love it, not even a top end one, just an LG that cost £500.  The picture quality is there though, you notice it massively on programs like planet earth and other hd content.  Also of course on Fifa, forza and currently Witcher 3.  So I'm happy with it already, but these new games just look like another level still, to get even more out of the 4K quality.   I'll probably sell the xb1 nearer time and that'll be a small sub to the outlay.

Not sure about Fifa 18, I know it looks good but I think the other games we mentioned are the best for really showcasing the new tech improvements.   Hadn't paid any attention to Scorpio talk prior to E3 but it didn't take me long at all to decide that I want one, especially if most of these games ready for launch.

How do you find The Witcher 3? I have it but have only played it a tiny bit. I know a guy that says it is one of the best games ever. I found the controls a bit weird. Sometimes it feels a bit hard to precisely control the character, and he wanders a bit on his own. Definitely one I'm going to try and play properly through at some point though.

Kid showed me this today - http://vamers.com/2017/06/13/xbox-one-x-games-native-4k-ultra-hd/

Interesting list of games "per section". Decent list on Enhanced/HDR. Will need to see if it's worth getting at the early stage. Got the TV, but don't know how much we want to play on that, vs building something around a driving game - Forza 7/Dirt 4. Would rather spend on kit around the steering wheel/stand/pedals, etc.

Not gonna lie really looking forward to the X did feel the xbox conference was a let down but knew there was a lot of games the didn't showcase.

Anthem looks class hoping its not just another Destiny though.

AC origins, Wolfinstein, Skull & Bones, Metro, COD WW2, State of Decay 2, FC 5, PUBG and so much more i want, although i am considering PS4 just for Days Gone missed a deal over the weekend local store was selling PS4's for €170

Will look into pricing on 4k Tv's over the next few weeks

It's great, really appreciate the depth of story and amount of work that must have gone into it.  It's pretty much only game I've played since I took a prolonged and still ongoing break from Fifa.  Got it for 17 pound during easter sale and put many hours into it already.  No idea if I'm anywhere near the end, don't think I am yet.  It's the first rpg style game I've really got into since the original elder scrolls.  I'd definitely recommend it.

The witcher is indeed one of the best games ever. It will take you 80 hours to finish the main story.

I still use my 'old' ps4. We bought an OLED LG for the living room. Amazing television.

Did I understand it correctly that you guys really doubt if you gonna buy FIFA18?

Yeah Glad. The kid has lost interest - probably because I've dumped it.

I've been playing Dirt 4 from Sunday. Love it. After FIFA, love racing games. Dirt 4 has a whole team management bit which makes it kinda cool. Effectively my son and I have been alternating races - so a bit of co-op in there ;D.

After playing every evening this week, I've come to realise that I'm not raging at all (hard to rage at a racing game :P), but if I screw up, it's my bad - not concentrating on the calls, driving too aggressively, etc. At no time has it been a case of "doing badly as it's out of my control". That was the cherry on top for FIFA - just happened way too much over last weekend.

Last night I logged on to complete the TOTS Week 5 pack. Even just the interface pi$$es me off.

I'm really done with it. I can spend my money elsewhere ... steering wheel and pedals coming soon, possibly will build it into a chair now that my weekend is not consumed with FIFA/WL.
