Hey guys

FIFA addiction is pleasurably replaced by Apex Legends.  Have a solid 190 team, but no motivation to play.  Gave up weekend league 3 weeks ago and play the odd rivals game but Apex has finally put the nail in the coffin.

I'm delighted

Hope you are all well

GG's TWS. Gold 3 is enough. Combine that with div 5 rank 1 rewards is a decent return on a weekly basis for me.

Anyways, compliments of the season to you all. Can't wait for the 2 week break. Have a good one gents

Hey guys.

Big Ron has joined the club. Truly awesome. Pain in the ass for chemistry but he's mad good

Managed to pack the 92 hazard during the Black Friday stuff. Pretty much wiped out the club to do those totw packs. Him, salah and scream schweinsteiger are the goto subs.  Just brought in Kante after packing a second varane in WL rewards.  Think I'm pretty much set for the team now till whenever. Only an icon could come in to improve, but not at 700k min for a baby version.

All in all still enjoying the game and shake off the frustrations quite easily now. It's just not worth caring too much about the game to make you mad

89 Salah and 87 Pjanic in WL rewards. I'll take that

Hoping for a large Ronaldo crash today. 1.8m in the bank ready and waiting

Sold off Messi before the BF crash next week. That enabled me to get in 89 Gerrard. He's steady but not worth 1.1m. 85 Fabinho does just as good with a reduced goal threat. Will get through the WL and sell him for the 86 UCL Fabinho, which has a good chance at being 89-90 rated come the upgrades.

New patch has, for me, the only noticeable difference that the speed has slowed up again further. Strange that Mbappe gets continually rinsed by 50-60 paced defenders even with a good head start.

Pulled 90 Silva and 87 Schezney in the WL rewards. Good sbc fodder

Still enjoying it. Pretty much 15,16 or 17 wins in weekend league. Pack luck great. Got Messi yesterday and UCL Lingard. The walkout music for the CL cards is great.

Steady in div 5. No aspirations to climb higher as the rank 1 rewards are good enough.

Team lineup is 4321

Str, Neymar
LF Mane, RF Mbappe
CM's Firmino, Fabinho & Pogba
LB Marcelo, CB's Ramos & Varane, RB SIF Lala
GK Courtois

Bench - Messi, Griezmann, CL Goretzka, Scream Schweinsteiger, CL Sane, SIF Werner & CL Vidal

Tempted to sell Messi and get 89 Gerrard in for Fabinho.

Suppose we'll see what patch 2 brings next week

Dare I say, I'm loving it  :-\

I play it for fun and take it nowhere as seriously as I have previously. Just move onto the next game if I have a bad one. I've given up trying to analyse the whys and what's.

Weekend league is fine.

One thing they could do with the removal of the ko tournament is make drafts free. Obvs make the rewards lesser but gives a casual mode to play.

Another thing they have subtly snuk in, is with rivals and WL being the only modes online, they have made us have to play more games.  Fair enough spread over the week, but compared to 40 in the old WL, you need to play 2-3 times as that over the whole week if you want decent rewards.

I'm enjoying it. Patch will hopefully sort out the few bugs

Must admit, I have never had as much of a relaxed weekend league as this one. No rage, just move onto the next one until complete. Finished on 13 wins with 2, 4 game losing streaks in there, but few complaints over those losses.

One major thing that annoys me is the amount of second chances the opposition forwards get. When tackling head on, a lot of times, the ball kindly ricochets back to the striker. Frustrating

In all though, with a few tweaks, one of the best fifas in a good while

Gents.

Ea access trial done. I'm keeping final judgement until we have full server loads, but.... it seems EA might have actually listened to some feedback for once. Totally different feel to the game than the beta and has been fun. Some really wierd bounces of the ball at times and near post corners are still there to abuse, but a more rewarding experience when you win. Not many landslide wins. Tight games as the AI defending is a little too OP.

I'm worried it's suckering me in, then it'll al change with a patch or server overload.

I'm confused  ???

Yup. Just fut online.  Everything bad in 18 is in with a few more bad thrown in for a laugh. Add in the usual servers at max every day and you'll not find a worse gaming experience anywhere.

Pace is king. Mad, unexplainable 'momentum' swings during games, kick off goals and wonder keepers all bring the fun to the game  ;D

Just put this in the FUT 19 Beta forum  ;D

Ok, like most people here I have played the FIFA franchise all the way back to the beginning, through multiple console variants and finally on XBOX ONE X and FUT since 2012.  I;m 40+ so this is not some kid sparking one off.

All previous iterations of this game have had their merits, but none grabbed me like FUT.  Almost to an addiction point.

FUT 18 was the turning point.  The amount of unexplainable things that went on in most games drove me to the point of controller smashing, rage, frustration and despair.  Not a good thing for a video game.  What disappointed me most about 18 was that when playing the beta and pre patch 1, I thought the game had made a massive jump forward in terms of realism.  Defending had been upgraded and separated those men from boys.... problem was, the boys complained, and complained, and complained and we got patch 1.  Game changer.  Bringing back pretty much everything back from 17 with a shiny new look.  Disappointing.

Towards the end of 18, I have a 94 rated team (probably the best I've ever had in any FUT), but still do not enjoy playing it.  Every game mode plays differently.  Every match with a different feel.  Hats off to the pros for doing what they do, knocking up 40 wins every weekend.  Guess their connections must be ace

Anyways, going into 19 was the least I have looked forward to ever playing FUT.  I was surprised to get the invite for the beta, and my interest perked up.  Downloaded, installed, and away we go.  I'm 8 days into the beta, and must say, with total devastation, EA has ruined what good aspects to the gameplay there was and managed to make all the things which were bad, worse.

I love football, but even I, who has not played PES since PS2 days, even resorted to downloading the 19 demo.  Typically, it was crap, but better than FUT19.  That takes a lot for me to say....

I hope that EA sees this and can take some action.  The game is just no fun at all.

Major issues -
Speed is far too slow - Imagine this when we have servers which are being massively loaded
First touch - 9 times out of 10 the ball bounces a good 10-15 feet away from the player.  Totally unrealistic
Goal Kicks - Very little or no control using the stick.  Wasn't broken in 18, didn't need touching
Timed Shooting - For me, although billed as a new feature, I think its something that has always been there, just not visible, and now you can see why you might hit the post from 3 yards with an open net.  Pointless feature
Passing - What have you done EA ??? Feels totally random who the ball goes to and generally not in the direction you are pointing the stick.  Number of times a man in acres of space out wide.  A tidy strong pass will see him in, but no, it picks out the striker whos marked by 3 defenders and because it has been hit strong, the first touch kicks in and sends the opposition off on a counter attack.

Other issues -
Pack animation - No idea who though that sticking a massive Ultimate Team behind the card was a good idea.  Looks very budget.  No feel of excitement
Card design - 18 was lazy from 17.  19 are just bland.  Golds look like bronzes
Dealing with cards - Wasn't broke, didn't need fixing
Sorting cards - no sort from low to high (in the beta anyways).  If not back in, queue the endless page scrolls to get to your untradeables
Players not playing to their stats - I have Salah and Mane.  Salah, one of the quickest players IRL and quicker than Mane in game, sets off like a 3 legged tortoise

There are other things which others, I'm sure have mentioned.  Maybes next year, get more opinionated guys, who play this game day in day out for some advice because whomever has said this is good shouldn't be playing video games let alone giving advice on it

The state of this game EA..... you should be ashamed

PS.  Cant wait to see what the pro's make of this

Just played 4 games in the weekend league on the beta..... none lasted more than 20mins.

Total bullsh1t game.  I will be genuinely amazed if any of you guys like it. Passing is just horrible. I can't think of a worse iteration of FIFA. I'm gutted

The pros are going to have great fun playing this waste of space game.  EA will have to hire David copperfield to rehash this before release. 18 is light years better than this

Raging  >:( >:( >:( >:(

Just played the PES19 demo whilst waiting for the beta to update....

As bad as FIFA is right now, pes is about 4-5 years behind. Reminds me of sensible soccer, but viewed from the side, except sensible soccer is better

Another year in the bargain bin for PES. I'm amazed they can keep churning out this crap when nobody buys it.

Thanks Simmo! Great info!

Are placed shots still OP?

Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-G930F met Tapatalk

Finesse hasn't changed at all, other than you now have to time it right, power wise.

Low driven shots are now both shoulder buttons down while shooting.

Shielding is necessary but a hard one to get right for any game. It's so OP and if done right, undefendable.

As I said all the things we hate are all still there

Ok lads....

I've had the pleasure (hahaha) of getting an invite for the fut 19 beta which I have been playing since Friday.  Much like last year they are giving free coins and FIFA points on a day to day basis, which is so very kind of them

First impressions... new lick of paint and relatively the same game engine and gameplay.  The gameplay is all likely to change in the full release like last year as they did last year with the revert back to fut 17 patch 1.

Likes
It's football  ;D

New formations - 424, 4132, 441(2) plus a couple others I can't remember

Time - it's shows past 90 mins  :o

Dislikes
Pack animation - very minimalistic and a downgrade from 18
Dealing with new cards. It's like a 3 tier screen. New items in the middle, transfer list on top and quick sell bottom. Use the right stick to send items up or down. RT to keep what's left. Only good thing is getting a 2nd confirm that you want to quick sell just so you don't screw up. IMO something which didn't need changing.

Card design - nothing looks good

Searching in squad - no option to search from low to high. Might come back in full game

Division rivals - replacing DKT for WL qualification. Initially Complete 4 games to get your skill rating which determines your starting division and point multiplier for WL points. Once there you play games to get skill points to determine your rank (1-4) which determines your weekly rewards (packs/coins or WL points). In the beta you need 100 WL points or finish rank 1 or 2 to get qualification.. I think, so no tables but has the same premise. No idea if there is a limited number of games you can play to achieve rank or points. If it is limited then you are stuck with no online game mode to play for the rest of the time until the new cycle begins  :o

Gameplay -
slower again than 18, but any positive improvements I'll hold judgement on until I've played the full release as last years beta was far better than the full game.
Goal kicks. Now done by more accurate stick movement but very difficult to judge the distance to kick unless passing to the CB.
Timed shooting. Put in, I assume, to show why we always hit the bar/post from 3 yards out in a manic situation. I think this isn't a new innovation, but now shows a visual 'aid' as to why our shooting is crap.
All the bad in 18. Yup, it's still there. That handicap/scripted feel to games where no matter what you do, you ain't winning. Wonder keepers. slo-mo feels to certain games. They score everything/ we score nothing

In summary for me, it's just not worth it, however I love football so I'll get it. I am likely to not spend anywhere near as much time with it as any previous one though. What do we do though, there is no alternative. I think I have another 8 days before it ends so I'll report back if I find anything else
